Gotta say I've always hated DG I've never seen an actual power gain from their exhausts. The Polaris xlt 580/600/ xc600 triple made about 90hp stock and the stock pipe was a banana looking pile of crap. The engine however had porting designed pretty damn good for mid to high rpm power. Most aftermarket pipes made an enormous difference. The decker triples were like 15 hp gain. The DG triple pipes didn't make any horsepower. It's astonishing they could fail that bad. This is from reports from dynotechresearch who is know to be very accurate with his dyno. Other applications I've done with DG we didn't seem to notice a difference either. I'd say it's a plus that they don't seem to lose power but the aftermarket snowmobile cans do just that. Zero backpressure and loud as hell.

i have had good luck with the 110v non-handheld version of this...i'm pretty sure they are the exact same internal components....toss that worse than useless plastic shield they give in the trash...IT's NOT SAFE!!!...a real welding helmet/shield will have a clear plastic lens in front and behind the dark glass lens...this is to protect it from the heat and spatter and the rear one is to protect your eyes if the glass one shatters....by the weld you did it looks like a 7024 rod.

Why switch to, 2wd going that fast?
@BamBamMotorsports7 ай бұрын
It doesn’t actually actuate into 4wd while full throttle, but what it does is “preload” it for the shift back into 2wd when you let off the throttle. The front diffs do not like having the decel force transferred back through them, it causes excessive wear on the “heal” of the ring gear teeth, so by doing this the diff gets unlocked as soon as you lift saving the front diff

That trigger becoming more sensitive is a sure sign that it's under rated for the number of amps going through it. That's most likely going to be the point of failure at some time in the future.

Could I weld exhaust piping ?
@BamBamMotorsports9 ай бұрын
You COULD but I wouldn’t recommend it for that. For the same money you could get a cheap flux core wire feed and be light years ahead vs trying to stick weld exhaust
@gf2e2 ай бұрын
@@BamBamMotorsportsWhy would a flux core welder be better for exhaust? I was just gifted one of these welders and am about to try it out for the first time. :)
@Matt-on6lg9 ай бұрын
Hey I just bought a 03 Vrod it has the same exhaust as yours with a pc5 tuner I think it has a stock air filter. If I removed the bagfle would I need to retune it? I also would like to change the air filter. It dyno’d 110whp 77tq I’m hoping I can get alil more out of it with a filter change and taking the baffle out
@BamBamMotorsports9 ай бұрын
You shouldn’t have to retune for a baffle removal (it makes a minimal difference) but on getting more power, the only good way to make anymore power on these Revos is induction work such as cams, head work and throttle bodies. Aside from that boost, nitrous or big bore stuff are your only options honestly.

I just found your you tube stuff. My whole fam and 2 of my best friends all have VRODS. My sister, sister in law, brother in law and myself. Hahaha Anyway I got a 2009 muscle and wanna make it faster. It’s pretty stock except for my Thunder max tuner, K and N airfilter and that’s about it. Thinking I want to go nitrous but of course would love a turbo set up like your and maybe be able to cruise it at around 150-160whp. You said in one of your vids that you don’t need to spend big bucks to go fast!.!. Can you please share your build list and how much total imma need to make this happen?.?
@BamBamMotorsports9 ай бұрын
The engine is BONE stock. But I built the hot side myself, the turbo is an eBay gt2560, the plenum and charge pipes I made myself, the fuel system is a walbro 255, destroyer injectors and 5 bar map sensor. And it’s tuned on a Daytona twin tec ecu. Total I have about $2000 in the turbo kit, but like I said that’s building it all myself, labor and whatnot to do this would be astronomical to have someone else do unfortunately. My previous setup was an old Boss Noss nitrous kit that I got on marketplace for $400, and it made 175hp/135tq on that setup back then too (there’s a couple short videos on the channel of that setup as well)

I worked with it for continuous hours at home, at between 90, 100, and 120 amps, with an electrode diameter from lowest to highest, 3.2 mm. In all honesty, I see that this invention is very useful, easy to use, and harmless to home electricity.
