If you are using good paint and taking care to do a quality job, try using Lutron faceplates for your electrical outlets and home control devices… Satin colors are beautiful and you have no screw heads showing.

I keep the stir stick from the paint, write what it was used to paint and when, and if I used up the can, I peel the sticker off and stick it to the stick as well.
