I think it's interesting to theorise why the WLF became a dictatorship. They had quite a good period in a world of chaos but never did any institutional reforms which lead them to just becoming a fascist state. Strong leadership really left a bad mark on the movement and ultimately corrupted it. No courts, nor checks nor balances.

FEDRA has been almost forgotten at TLOU 2 , hope they can get this covered on the next game. Maybe FEDRA already got the vaccine and just using it for themselves and it's officials and people in power/rich population.

In many ways, the seraphites society has a lot of strengths. They are very well in tune with nature, they don’t rely too much on technology, they’ve developed a sorta hunter gatherer way of life while also being really good with agriculture and they are master archers. Although their strict religious cult like and dogmatic way of life definitely makes their society kinda frightening.

I have my hang ups about the story; but I do admit when Lev explains that the disembowelment hangings didn’t even happen until after the prophets death, it really caught my attention. It’s actually a pretty striking parallel to the way people irl twist the words of benevolent religious figures to justify extremism.

NO DAMAGE - there's one instance at 46:23 where I wasn't sure if I'd taken a hit in the overlap between the guy throwing a punch and being stunned by my brick. However, on closer examination there was no audio cue from Ellie or visual cue to indicate damage (the screen colour will slightly change when you take a hit). Afterwards, I did heal, however you start Left Behind on low health and it takes four snacks to get to full health. I had picked up three to this point, so wasn't at full health. I wasn't sure while doing the run, but did carefully check it to be sure before calling it no damage.

In general, I tend to have lower aiming sensitivity and turn aiming acceleration and power ramp right down. It's a huge help with aiming - and unlike on this video, I'm generally playing on grounded with lock on aim turned off.

I mean I’m infamously awful at video games as much as I love playing them. I’ve currently died 3 times and I’m only in the outskirts bit of the game. This is on very light, enemies don’t get behind u, auto aim. Etc 😪

I never buy these games at full price because they can’t get it through their thick sculls. I want easy difficulty for entertainment purposes. I don’t give a damn about challenge. I can’t stand games that have a boss kill you a thousand times until you hit him in the right spot.

Neil Druckmann wrote this script based on his upbringing in Israel. This past year really makes it clear how the game mimics the current state of Gaza and the Israel/Palestine conflict.

The Seraphites are genuinely one of the most interesting factions I’ve seen in any post-apocalyptic fiction in how they completely *Reject* the idea of “the old world” and instead look towards the future. Heck, their religion feels less like you’re typical Christian cult & more some Frankensteinic fusion of Buddhism (Primarily following the teachings of a Human teacher), Christianity (The Angelic symbols & calling the Cordyceps demons), and some small parts of neopaganism (Their seeming care towards nature & self-sustainability). They’re no doubt evil & have fallen into deep extremism from the Prophet’s death & the WLF being arses, but I could easily see why someone would want to join them, in that they could be wanting to create a new world instead of constantly looking into the past that Humanity lost from the Cordyceps.

This run is TECHNICALLY a world record for moderate difficulty, in that there are no other runs on this difficulty and it is therefore by default the fastest time. It is also a legitimate run for speedrun.com, which I'm submitting as this video goes live. However, although speedrun.com allows you to submit runs in any difficulty, it's unclear whether it will record this run on the leaderboard alongside my very light speedrun time, or this run will be deemed "obsolete" as the very light time is faster. If the former, then I will officially have the fastest moderate time on the leaderboard and therefore a proper world record. If the latter, then at the very least it was a fun challenge to do. (And a VERY beatable time, thanks to the areas I screwed up, if anyone fancies giving the run a go!)

Re1 HD is not a remake is the same game they basically upgraded some stuff and add few things they did not completely recreate the game they just add few things and fix the graphics and controllers i think is the same game compared to re2,re3,re4

RE1 HD is a Remaster of Resident Evil 2002, which is a full remake of Resident Evil 1996

@ both are remastered the re1 from 2002 is the same game but remastered with better voice acting better graphics and they add few more characters because the game was not created to be a new game just a remastered of the original basically what they did is the food got cold you put it on the microwave to warm it up a remake is when you create everything from the beginning something like re2 they create the full game not just the graphics so what they did is they cook the food again they create the game again from the bottom

@@themonsterpr13 The character models, backgrounds, sound design, and mechanics on the GameCube game aren't just the PS1 versions polished up, lol. They're all fresh. Look at the actual remasters of the PS1 games made by modders to see what's actually possible with the PS1 games and it's night and day.

This remake isn't necessary. Shinji Mikami perfected this game. Some ppl don't like tank controls, and I get that... But this is GOLD. If it IS remade, I think it'll be the first game in history to ever get two remakes

really appreciate your work here. theres almost too many of these close but not quite type layers that make it hard to know what to pay attention to but you've done a great job here making some rather face up but elusive ties between Rose not merely taking up Cynthia's mantle but Cynthia's unrequited love for Zane mirroring Rose's for Alan. Hadn't thought of that! Likewise, simply realizing that the Cult of the Word is a reflection of the Cult of the Tree and not necessarily not plot relevant reality per se makes it a lot easier to stomach, as that means that the Grandmaster is clearly Scratch. Good stuff, man!

this is my guess. in the dangerous world, you should not come up with dodge as the first choice. It's not ground and reasonable. It's like you bet for your life, and you play like this all the way down to the end of the journey. hiding and avoiding face-to-face combat is better to fit game theory, unless they want to make action game. and more, when you are evading for about 3 times. you are very likely to be exposed to every enemy. player should have been shoot or biten. if not, this will make the game very weird. the way to avoid this is to make other enemies far away from player, but it's more ungrounded. it's like the enemy is stupid, and naught dog said they spend a lot of time to not make stupid enemy. but they do add this into tlou2 and it makes the combat more complex, which is good. but less wasted land and dangerous atmosphere like part1.

I played the game a weekend ago and your telling me it got shunned? This was one of those games I couldn’t get my mind off of, the lore, the gameplay, the characters, the ending were too memorable for my 9hr play through and it was amazing. Big shame it got shunned😔
