I had this affliction for most of my life. My psychiatrist told me to try NAC (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine). She said that the information on NAC does not address help for skin picking and hair pulling, but many psychiatrists have found success with NAC. The best place to buy this (and at the best price) is from a company called LIFE Extension. NAC completely resolved my problems. (I also had the affliction of pulling my hair.) NAC may not help everyone, but it’s certainly a low-cost (from LIFE Extension) option to try. Good luck. Living with skin picking is a nightmare.

Here is my story in a nutshell. A few years ago my then estranged wife of over 10 years attacked me at my place of business in Miami Florida all because of a $20.00, misunderstanding involving our then 10 year old child, she came in a rage, ready to fight me physically, I begged her to leave several times, but she refused . She continued to verbally abuse and belittle me in front of our son, so I called the Police, the person who answered the call asked me, if the person making domestic call is a man or woman? I said man, the police took over 3 hours to turn up and that was after I made several more calls. Anyhow eight months later, I was arrested and charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor , Aggravated assault with a deadly Weapon, Burglary and Battery and yet I was the victim, I spent over 3 months in the Miami Dade county jail. Thank God for Judge Bagley, Judge Haig and a wonderful Public Defender Mr. Guy Robinson, today I'm some what free. Sadly I didn't have the money to fight this case to the end, so I took a plea deal based on bad advice from another Attorney, that admission of guilt that I thought would not affect my immigration status, see me barred from reentering the United States. Right now I'm in Jamaica literally suffering. I have an old 1999 Accord that I normally use to buy and sell things, thus earn a living, but the engine and transmission are all worn out and I just can't afford to buy another vehicle or used engine and transmission, plus the cost to get the job done.
