Georgiana Darcy should've been in more scenes. That deleted scene she's in with Mary playing the piano I remember from the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie.

Darcy and Lizzy barely interacted to give flavor in their relationship. They should've not deleted the dance part.

I get that movies need to cut scenes to make movies shorter but they really should have kept the ballroom scene when Darcy and Elizabeth dance. The one scene would have added a lot to the movie.

Like why did we have to see so much of Wickham......Should've just left the scene where she meets Georgiana....I was also looking forward to seeing them dance but that too was cut.....Even so I love the movie a lot and have watched it countless of times.....Looking forward to reading the books soon

Why on EARTH would they cut the Netherfield Dance and Georgiana scenes...those...those are CRUCIAL scenes to their character developments and entanglements...????

I need a director's cut so badly! All the deleted scenes in the movie not just as featurettes. I can't believe they cut the dance scene - it's essential to the story and it's lovely to see more of the chemistry between Lily and Sam 😊

FIRST OFF: THEY NEED TO MAKE A DIRECTORS CUT AND THEN DO THE DAMN SEQUEL. Secondly, I think it's a real downer that filmmakers are forced to trim out so much of what the budget went toward just to favor some dated concept of run times. MIN-I-SER-IES! MIN-I-SER-IES! MIN-I-SER-IES! MIN-I-SER-IES! MIN-I-SER-IES! MIN-I-SER-IES!

I second that. I like the film but it's obvious it attempted to shove two different storylines (the PPZ novel merely had the whole zombie apocalypse as a setting, the main plot was PP) into a movie with way too short a runtime for it to be able to accommodate both. I don't think it was a bad thing the filmmakers wanted to bring the zombies in the foreground too, but they definitely needed more time to develop both storylines and in that regard a mini series would probably have done wonders.

Most of these shouldn't have been omitted, since they are mentioned in the movie but never actually shown. Darcy asks Elisabeth to dance but we never get to see them, and Elisabeth talks about planning a trip to the north but that gets abandoned as well.

Actually that scene is before the explosion of the bridge, so the horse did die after all. :(

@Lily of Chastity No shit. If the movie had been a half an hour longer, then maybe it could have avoided a lot of the criticism which centered on the weird editing, which seemed to leave out a good chunk of the story and character arcs 😐
