The animals are equal to immigrants? What immigrants are being fired from Universities for being immigrants? I don't hear anyone saying cage and deport all immigrants. I just hear people saying we should know something about the immigrants we allow into our culture. I think the whole point of the political undertones it that we shouldn't demonize people for thinking differently because people will exploit those fears and anger. It goes both ways.

I’m glad I found this video, really got into depths about the show for a newbie like me. Saw the Broadway show a few years ago, not my favorite, it had highs (defying gravity and popular) and lows (found the story convoluted). I feel the movie depicts what the Broadway show tried to be, didn’t even know I liked Dancing through life and What a felling - now they’re my favorite songs, I can’t get it out of my head! Also the expanded story allowed the characters to create relationships more naturally. Every thing seems rushed when I see the Broadway version online now, which can’t be helped due to its hard runtime. Props to everyone who made the movie, totally my favorite movie musical ever.

Thank you so much! The show definitely had to pack a lot into a shorter runtime where the film can take its time to develop the world and the arc of Elphaba.

A review that I’ve waited for since after seeing Anora which was a couple weeks ago still at theaters. Best experience at the Cherry Hill AMC Theater going with my friend to see it. We were both amazed and how well done the film was thinking that Baker did a great job capturing everything and touching on the big character. Mikey was the star of the film and she deserves a nice award for Best Lead Actor in drama and comedy genre. It was so laughably comedic with great amount of drama everywhere. And to talk about the ending… it was speaking to the mind and why it happened. Really was a big twist after what has happened after Vonia’s incident. I agree with all thoughts and words describing this film. Such a crazy phenomenal movie to have seen. My friend and I enjoyed it while hearing in the background in our theater seats everyone thinking the same surprised way. Thanks guys 🙏🏻 best and favorite film of all time 🎉

With everything leading up to this release, in my heart of hearts I really thought it was going to bomb like Cats. Which I was really bummed about because I've loved Wicked ever since it first released when I was in college, I read the book, etc. I've never been so happy to be wrong. For me this is right up there with Chicago for best film adaptation of a stage production, ever. (Moulin Rouge is my absolute favorite but that's obviously a slightly different category since it was film to stage instead of stage to film.)

Ariana stands out because of the comedy aspect on top of her glorious voice and how the story is set up. But by no means was cynthia just sitting there. Her performance is so nuanced and heartbreaking.

The show is aimed at a younger audience. So if you have younger kids, you'll enjoy watching it with them. With out having kids to watch with, you may not like the show. My 14 year old son who likes Star Wars, wasn't a fan on Skeleton Crew.

I LOVED Michelle's part. It reminded me of my grandma. I think it fit the mentor, elder, vibe so well. Its the first time her character is really full focus and drops your guard a bit. Which really sat me up for feeling that massive betrayal. There is an interview where they discuss "space". People are allowed, and needing, space to process several emotional moments. They let it breathe 100%. I can't wait to see a full documentary on making the movie. In an interview Ariana was talking about how the monkey scene was acted out and it was really disturbing. Madam Morrible also threatens their families. Gave so much more weight to just "evil flying monkeys" in the Wizard of Oz. They are doing this against their will.

I think after talking with a lot of people, the CGI seemed to turn a lot of people off. The practical use of animals in the first one faired way better for believability. Was the CGI the major con for everyone else as well?

There were 796 babies and children secretly buried in an unmarked grave at one particular mother and baby home in Tuam, Galway. They were only discovered in 2017 so the extent of the horror of all this is still recent and ongoing for Irish audiences
@Mart-B16 күн бұрын
To expand on that, these children and babies weren't murdered, per se, but the baby and child death rates in these homes was way, waaaay higher than national averages at the time, because of neglect and abuse. They were seen as children of sin because they were conceived out of wedlock. So the children and babies would be taken off their mothers, and they might then later die, and at Tuam for example the nuns buried their bodies in a septic tank with no record kept of them. "With or without religion, good people will do good things and bad people will do bad things. But to get good people to do bad things, that takes religion" - Christopher Hitchens

Just a friendly note! I don’t understand the point of starting an after show about a series you don’t like. You’ve made it clear you haven’t liked it for seasons so just don’t get why you would make this just to be fully negative. Obviously entitled to your opinion, but Liza seems a bit more open minded. Also they are not Navajo just because some people could get upset about that. But I’ll be checking out some of your other stuff! 😁
