Maybe they lived in an apt building taken over by weidner which raised each 1 bedroom by approx $300 more a month. Who can afford that> Weidner has the monopoly with over 90% of the apt real estate in Anchorage. I have done some first aid in pop up camps. Weidner is voiced as an enormous problem, even before job loss. There are a lot of sober individuals out there. If nothing is done the city may have to foot the bill for frostbite treatment, wound infections and burials. Not every homeless person has substance abuse. You need to get out there and talk to people. Their needs are not different than a family struck by cancer. As someone who had 3 lobes of lung removed as a non smoker from cancer, and became homeless because work decided "an oxygen tank is ugly" - it can happen to anyone.

If PFAS molecules are highly resistant to chemical breakdown (including, and presuming chemically combining with other molecules) why/how could they disrupt health. Aren't they inert? What happens when they come into contact with blood cells and digestive fluids?

I would say, just don't put shows like this out anymore.not because you shouldn't but just to let the residents of st Lawrence island keep their way of life alive without others who don't understand it. They have a much harder life than people in the lower 48. They live on that tiny island their whole life and most never leave. They must really love living there. I would probably want to live there too if I could. Makes me wish I was born there. It's a hard life but a simple life. Leave them alone.they ain't hurting nobody.

We need cryptocurrency to disrupt the monopolization of Central banking. Being supportive of cryptocurrency is essential, but also not enough on its own. There are those who advocate for Central Bank digital currency under the guise of crypto, and at minimum any politician advocating for cryptocurrency must be able to make the distinction between a people-powered currency that honors The sovereign individual and a programmable Central Bank digital currency that gives government the ability to turn your finances on or off at their whim.

Vote no on 2. the bottom line of our country is to get our voices out there as voters and this gives us more voting power and the ability for 3rd parties to rise up against the 2 party system. Most of us are in the middle and ranked choice gives us a more specific choice than just right or left.

The Alaska Republican Party PUSHED FOR ranked choice voting back in 2002 (when it was more commonly known as "instant runoff voting"). They even got John McCain to voice robo-calls urging support of a referendum to adopt it. Why is this fact never mentioned in the current debate? Here's what the GOP said about it back then: *** Whereas, the Republican Party of Alaska believes in and supports the principles of Democracy, Fairness and Majority Rule, and Whereas, Alaskan voters should be able to vote their conscience without fear of wasting their vote or helping elect candidates they least prefer, and Whereas, Instant Runoff Voting eliminates majority voters splitting their votes among similar candidates allowing a candidate with only minority appeal to win, and Whereas, Instant Runoff Voting eliminates spoilers, those candidates with little chance of winning who can knock off more representative candidates, and Whereas, Instant Runoff Voting insures majority rule without having the expense of a runoff election Now therefore be it resolved that the Republican Party of Alaska fully supports the Instant Runoff Voting initiative proposition appearing on the August, 2002 Primary Election Ballot. (Adopted by the Republican Party of Alaska in State Convention on May 18, 2002)
