my deck is not in full power. Is it a bad match with opponent's deck has CnC, Tunic ?

CnC and Tunic are powerful, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad matchup. I recommend knowing how decks can use the extra resource from Tunic to play around those trickier moves. For CnC, sometimes it's right to lose your arsenal instead of fully blocking it. It takes practice to figure out what's right in each situation!

Would highly recommend to pick a higher tier hero to stick with for a while. There’s a few benefits there. The first one is that those heroes tend to be more forgiving, second you’ll be able to see how other people play those heroes more often, and third when you lose with that hero and see others winning it might help you identify gaps in your play.

I agree that learning a higher tier hero is helpful because there are more resources for them, PLUS winning more early can keep motivation going! Although, I would rate a hero's straightforwardness more highly than tier when deciding who to pick up. Heroes like Ira, Bravo, and Dash IE tend to be better for learning the game, because their play patterns generally make it easier to recognize and fix mistakes. At the end of the day, I think it's most important that people pick heroes that enhance their enjoyment of the game while facilitating the learning process.

@ those are all reasonable heroes. I’d recommend anyone that is over 1 year old that is still near the bottom of the living legend list, and if they are 2-4 years old consider not playing them at all

Really enlightening video, I just wish I could figure out one hero to focus on. I like Zen a lot, but I also really enjoy Boltyn, but I ALSO like Fai, Victor, and Jarl, and I'm also pretty interested in what Fang might do in Hunted, etc. etc. Such a headache, but at least I know what to do once I finally settle.

One thing that I didn't mention in the video is that there's a lot of skills that carry over in between heroes. The good news is that these skills are applicable no matter who you play. Even though the improvement process is faster if your focus is on one hero, there's nothing wrong with playing multiple heroes as long as you're enjoying the game!

I appreciate the response, and that's honestly great to hear. I mostly play on Felt Table and a few games a week with some irl buddies, so I haven't quite experienced true Flesh and Blood yet, but I am having a blast despite dipping my hand into so many heroes. Florian's another one I forgot to mention, Runeblade is pretty fun and I like that he can seemingly dodge Warmonger's better than other Runeblades because Earth cards hit pretty hard on their own.

great video. I would like to see you cover motivation in a future video. I am struggling with that at the moment and would love to see how others are dealing with that. I started playing with Azalea during Dynasty. She was super fun to play and I was happy with the deck until the ice heroes rotated and the list became the hyper aggro version we see now. I didn't enjoy that and stopped playing her but I had a backup plan and was already in the process of building Kano. I adored that deck, it was everything I wanted in a deck of Flesh and Blood. I was planning to keep playing it until he hit LL. Then they banned the Tomes. Even with the cards from Rosetta, the deck is pretty bad (let's be honest, Wizard didn't get much of anything in that set, it would be disappointing regardless of bans, but now it's like they are laughing at the wizard players). I did build another deck to try and at least learn a new class, but it is just not what I want to play. TLDR : LSS banned the Tomes, it killed the deck I loved playing more than anything I ever played in any TCG, big sad, can't find motivation.

I can definitely resonate with this, since it feels like the High Octane ban is making me re-learn how to play Mechanologist. It's frustrating to lose power cards for your class. However, I've been enjoying trying out new heroes and strategies because of the ban. For instance, I'm trying out combo Aurora in blitz and testing new tech for Maxx Nitro in CC. Even though I have a lot of fond memories playing High Octane with Dash IE and Dash I/O, the variety has been nice. Some of my friends that play Kano have been enjoying Blaze and Oscilio. From what I've seen, they both have puzzling combo turns that deal massive amounts of damage! I'd suggest maybe trying those heroes out to feel (a little) like Kano before the tomes got banned. If not, do you think playing Kano in the LL format would help with your motivation?

Would you rather see full games with voiceover or deep dive examples from several different games to show off the fundamentals?

Three ways I’ve seen it done: 1) live gameplay like the TCG team, where you just play and commentate your thinking live. 2) reflective gameplay like lupinefiasco where you voiceover a replay and talk about what you were thinking and if you’d choose something different now. 3) highlight gameplay like we make best where you find a specific game that illustrates a certain concept and fast forward through large chunks of it until you get to the part you wanna talk about. I personally prefer the reflective gameplay in option 2.
