The alcohol calculator on your website gives numbers for bottles of wine, bottles of liquor, bottles of champagne and bottles of beer. Should the unit for beer be different? Are we talking cases, kegs, etc?

If you are the sole proprietary even with an LLC ...your business is still considered owned by yourself. So getting the certs for yourself is fine. You need insurance for the business name though

So I had one lead that wanted to get a bartender for their wedding and then at the last second after ghosting me because I could not get them to commit to a phone call they came out and said that they had a friend of the family that was going to bartend. How do I overcome this objection knowing that this person probably was not bonded and just probably had a basic alcohol beverage commission certification from the state of Texas? I tried to let them know that the liability falls on the person that is having the party and also the bartender if somebody happens to have something bad happen after the party related to too much drinking. I didn't know really what else to say.

I feel so bad for you doing so many emails! Girl, I have my calendar FULL, and I have 95% closing ratio. I don't do ANY marketing. I have become a preferred vendor at 9 venues. They do all of the marketing for me and keep my books full! I see you do the same thing...preferred vendor...it's definitely the way to go! I charge $800 for the first 4 hours and $100 for every hour after that. 2nd bartender rates are $85/hr and servers/bussers are $75 per hour. (We do a lot of event staffing and the caterers in our town use our staff as well when they are short). 2nd bar set up us $150 Champagne Toast is $1 per head Tent rental $95 All glassware is .75 per item Travel is .65/mile + $25/meal per diem + $250/night hotel stay. There's my pricing! PS: we only charge for the hours the bar is OPEN (thus the $800 for 1st 4 hrs, I have factored in set up and break down cost here).

Thanks so much for answering this question! I currently work in a restaurant where I manage, serve and bartend. I have plenty of people I work with and know they are very good at what they do but I don’t want to pilfer employees from my current employer out of respect so I was looking for people I know who might have a day job and are free weekends to work events. Appreciate your time and effort putting these together for your followers 🙏🏼

You're amazing! I just started my own bartending catering business. I would like to do some video conference with you if it's possible.
Thanks for this. I do not want to hire 10 staff and work huge weddings. I would love to do it on a smaller scale like 100 guests or less, make $400-500 per event and have a 4-5 per month. At most hire 1 person. I have 2 other small businesses I'm working on to bring self employment income so not looking to scale the bartending business too crazy. Any advice or suggestions on how to keep it simple?
