If you go to the modifier tab (Blender 4.1) and press the greater than symbol on the left of the "particleSystem" modifier after you have fixed all of your particle system as you want... you can then highlight the plane that you are making the particle system "on", and hit "make instances real". When you do so, all of the particles will become separate meshes which you can join together, and then export as an stl file, rather than an obj file... if you want. Some people may prefer stl exported files, some not... but it is an option.

So I did a dark mech model where I started with one of the fantasy wraiths(the one that came with a metal mask and two different skull heads I used the body of that along with the mask head and part of the torso of a Kataphron battle servitor with some greenstuff behind it and stuck some various sizes of guitar wire in hanging down put a pair of tiny servo arms hanging down from the bottom and replace his right hand with a skitari robot hand with one of nerf maverick looking pistols and his left arm with a cable that's supposed to connect a backpack to a gun. It came out less body horror and more cyberghost but was fairly fun, I've seen a few people use the same general idea and I don't think I've ever seen a bad combination with those parts.

7:23 The admech have too few actual named characters with backstories, merely generic units and GW shows no signs of fixing that themselves, leaving it up to the fans.

The kitbash is great and easily replicatable, the idea inspired, and the result awesome. But...well. Most Space Marines kinda DO come from Death Worlds. Or at least, they recruit actively from one. Death Worlds produce the best soldiers and Marine aspirants, thats just a given. Its the reason places like Blackwater and Caldaris exist still.

You should really experiment with some of the other sculpting tools. Crease and pinch would have helped you out a lot with some of the things I was watching you do.

I like these a ton dude. The somewhat goofy aesthetic of over confident marines who dont use armor, wacky patterns, and of course, the beaky. Looks like modern spins on older metals

I've been wanting to kitbash my own Nurgle-corrupted Blood Angels from the Dornian Hetesy AU I'm thinking of using a combination of bits and pieces from Chaos Space Marines, Horus Heresy Space Marines, Plague Marines, AoS undead model range, and of course, Blood Angel bits from either 40k or Horus Heresy

Too long. Space Marines titles can't usually be more than 4 words, usually not even that. The longest one I can think of is Scythes of the Emperor, and they're basically dead.

Loved the vid btw wanted to drop in some possible chapter names: Predators: Due to the action movie sorta inspirations thought a nod to the predator film would be nice, additionally their whole tracking, hunting, and predator vibes also work Klaw Strike: the tactic-cool vibe these marines have i think something akin to Klaw Strike, or a strike force sort of name for them would make a lot of sense. Additionally, the spelling using a K instead of C could imply they often face Orcs, just a idea. Hydra: Just sounds really cool for a death-world chapter, also would imply either a connection to salamanders or maybe even the raptors. Anyways those are just a few suggestions, keep up the good work!

great little video and a very good introduction to kit bashing in blender, a small recommendation that could help save some time (and prevent accidental leftover gaps in places) is that with the bisect tool there are check-boxes in the bottom left menu for ''fill'', ''clear outer'' and ''clear inner'' these basically fulfill the select, delete and fill steps in one go, also since its easy to accidentally close, you can use F9 to bring this menu back up as long as you've not done anything else as for suggestions as to what to kitbash next? this guy's gonna need an adversary now doesn't he? someone thats gonna give him a proper krumpin if you catch my drift
