The fact that Edin 'resigned' after getting to a UCL final lets you know ALL you need to know about the BVB leadership. Most UCL finalist managers don't leave the club. Unless the upper management is the problem.

First, he's on 18mil/yr(€346k/wk) Second, he's missed 70 games the last 2 seasons for injuries & has had 4 injuries BOTH seasons for a total of 8 injuries in the past 2 seasons. Third, he's not only made of glass he's also 27 years old. Weve already got 3 of him taking up spots on our roster, always injured & unavailable & not in form. Why in the world wld we want another €18mil salary, 27 yr old that is a high risk of being chronically injured? I'll wait. If we were serious abt competing we would've been involved in discussions for Kvicha. If we want to sign a Pini Zahavi player get Tah. He actually stays fit enough to add value. Yet another Eberl disaster class.

I like Bailey, however he isn’t strong enough against the bigger defenders , we need someone who can use their strength to break down the opposition and create chances, Malen looks good on you tube , but most players do

Either way, I think he"ll be better than Diaby AND Bailey at Villa, another two inconsistent Villa players we had/have! We are used to that Villa, and he faster, stronger, more direct, and more of a goal threat than both those two in my opinion! Ollie Watkins will love playing with him, if he can catch up to other side of box with him!😂

I think £22M + possibly add one is a bargain for Malen! We have loads of inconsistent players at Villa, so nothing new to us! BUT, his pace is electric, he has skill, can be creatively tricky, can score goals and we need more threat up front! 26 is still youngish, and Unai ALWAYS improves players with his tactics and demands! No idea how big his wage demands are, but ANY half decent player under £25M in today's hyper inflated ridiculous money game, IS A BARGAIN!! I've only seen his best clips online, and my immediate impression was, if we get 15 games of him playing like that every season, I'll take that! 😂

The last time Dortmund lost at home on a Friday was 21 years ago, back in January 2004, when they were beaten 1-0 by Schalke. It was the last time before previous Friday they lost a home game on Friday. Indeed poor squad management three CBs only knowing it very well the injury history of Sule and Mane means two cbs + Emre Can. I know Ramy can play but then there's no LB. Everyone saw they ran Ryerson to the ground doesn't happen very often. Couto was not injured very often in Girona but here he did miss 7 games to Injury and last match Gross red card was result of these poor choices only it was Emre Can's pass which forced Gross and maybe a fast Couto could've been more helpful but No as BVB's higher up say we are well staffed in every position even in this big season and every youngster isn't yet ready for Bundesliga minute(surprisingly Sahin was ready to coach a Bundesliga giant), Rothe couldn't get minute here as per them so SOLD. And by getting 27 mil for Fullkrug Kehl is all of sudden great Sporting director. The signings are made as per player status and hype or just another average Bundesliga player instead of creative transfers(as before) like Frankfurt is having for quiet few years now. ANd if you ask higher ups they'll say we are only 5 points off top 4 instead of accepting they're classes apart from clubs like Stuttgart who was facing relegation few season back and Leverkusen was nowhere near this level 2-3 years ago. EIther they're deluded or they're scamming so hard I don't even know what's going on there

Villa's problem is they sold diaby last season and the used to rotate him with Bailey with a single striker up front , now villa have become very predictable with Bailey playing every game when fit and only scoring 1 goal This season (last week), villa need another winger to fresh things up along with a right back and at least one centre half

I don't think Aston Villa will over pay for Malen,cos unlike West Ham who got suckered on the Fullkrug deal big time Villa are very well run nowadays with top level people in recruitment & will move on to another player rather than pay more than they believe is fair value. Aston Villa do need more goal scorers after struggling this season with not enough fire power coming from the team overall & it would help with the premier league being so tight this season for European places. I like Dortmund as a club & their fantastic stadium,at Villa we've out grown our ground,we need to expand Villa park with so many fans on a waiting list for season tickets (35.000) & many people can't get match day tickets for games that are always sold out..... up the fuck'in Villa!!!! ⚽💜💙💪✌️🤫

1:36 It's not a loss. It's still profit. You signed him for €30m on a 5 year deal. Thats €6m per year of value. Having only 18 months left on his deal means his book value is €9m. It's not like you're desperate to keep him or Hes performing to a level above what you may have expected. Villa should not be paying much more than €10m.

Agreed. I actually like the idea of signing him but I'm annoyed that I'm not hyped about it. A few years ago I wound have been but He's been inconsistent, never hit what We perceived was his cieling and is being over priced. The money Dortmund are talking about isn't far from the price of getting Frimpong out of Leverkusen. I'd take the money and go and sign Tilman. He's exactly what We need on our left hand side.

😂 I'm a Villa fan. If I had a 2nd team it would be Dortmund. Likewise a great club. I hope to visit One day. I do hope We don't sign Mallen though. We are going to be over paying. Without I'd be happy to take the punt but Dortmund are laughing at us with the price.

Not so sure long term, so Villa need to not overpay (but he is not like Fulkrug). See this deal getting done at end of window, with a replacement already lined up.

Watzke has to be completely removed from decision making and influence. He can't be sitting there with 'the face' for the cameras to pan to anymore.. he can't be telling Ricken and Kehl what to do. Getting rid of Tom Rothe was beyond stupid. And we all know BVB will do one or two loan deals that will amount to nothing long term.
