the goobye ceremonies would be considered 'cringe' or wouldnt even fit in to beitish society these days in London. how sad. but ey, et least i got to see this stunning transition captired by you. its really a time I feel nostalgia for. yet never lived througu it myself

As always John, very informative video. I've always pronounced Marylebone as you do. I don't know if they still do, but Steinway used to hire out pianos for shows. We were never allowed to touch them and they were delivered early to settle, tuned, and once more before the show. I forgot about the Tyburn. We have an underground river near me that nobody seems to know about.

Brilliant John. Beautiful. You can see the Dutch influence in the architecture. Loved the shot of the penguin chasing a pesky gull. I often marvel at how they can build cable car structures and yet we can't fill in potholes! Good one John.

I'm from a town (city?) with 60-70.000 people, so that's probably why, but it's just amazing to me that there are so many places in a city like London that you would never see unless you spent years there. I was there last year and even though I was clearly nearby - you walked some of the same spots I was at - I had no idea I was close to some spots you show in the video. Even though I was walking around relatively causally and aimlessly, it really shows that you don't know what you miss if you don't know it's there or what to look for. Very interesting.

Great walk John. I hate Denmark street though. I've spent way to much money there for stuff that I don't need, although I like the look of the Rickenbacker @3:20. I think it might be a 365 from the 60's. Probably talking rubbish. Great info as usual. Like the radio plug. And your watch!

Another great vid John. Interesting facts about Waterloo that I didn't know. I love the park, but the last time I was there, I nearly got run over on Birdcage Walk. My own stupidity.

Middlesex not surrey! And it's Staines! (the upon thames bit is snobbish and wholly unecessary). I don't care that some sources claim it's in Surrey and that the name of the town has that stupid suffix, I don't recognise either! (that upon thames nonsense was inflicted upon us from people who don't come from here I'm sure!)
@johncull5 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, Middlesex is no longer. It's Surrey for sure whether we like it or not.
