I remember watching this back in the 1970's when I was in the RAF on a driving course on military vehicles and part of the course was how to drive on motorways. Even though this is for American drivers it is relevant here in the UK too imo. Really enjoyed watching this film again.

For how old this teaching video is, it is incredibly informative and very helpful.

I actually learned how to drive because of these goofy cartoons on driving, I remember seeing these on the Disney Channel back in the mid to late 80s and even early 90s. Turns out this helped me be a better driver than most of the people at the DMV who they passed

Is anyone else bugged by 11:53? I mean, sneezes are an involuntary thing, yet the narrator acts like it isn’t and chides Mr. F for that, instead of the real issue of bumper-chasing in the first place. There were better ways to convey the insufficient margin of safety than an uncontrollable bodily function. Maybe glaring at a nearby driver to the side and being rude?

This should be required viewing before getting a drivers license. In fact skill on freeways needs to be included on the road test because I don't know how the heck these people get passed for a license.

Today, we have a lot of Mr. Fs on the highways. Patience is a virtue and makes you live longer in driving.

Actually, a lot has changed since there are now screens on dashboards, cell phones and other gadgets to distract drivers.

I watched this in Drivers Ed in 1986 at El Camino H.S. We also had to watch Red Asphalt. One of our football coaches taught the class. I still have my pink Learners Permit. 🙂

Driving my father's taxi in New Orleans to go through Kylie Jenner since my income for 40 years, I encountered all of these goofy's. Well done and very true. Still doesn't do any good because goofy is still out there but now he's on STEROIDS.. 😂🤣😂 along with other goofies who want to fight and maybe even shoot at you, which I have experienced.
