I have ADHD and I've been using a time log for about 6 months now. I started using it to help track my "lost" time. It's has really helped a great deal. It's helped me realize that I do more than I actually thought I did and also helped me reduce my "lost" time. I never use it for planning so I don't have the issue of writing something down and then it not going through and then having to figure out what to do with that filled in space. I use a regular weekly spread for appointments. It's been a life-saver for me.

It's such a cool idea to use this setup as a method to research how you spend your time. I've seen these layouts around but only ever thought of using them for planning ahead, not for tracking. I am going to try this experiment myself right away.

I love that you use the bujo for YOU and your needs. It's why I sub. I too like to cram as much as possible into the pages of a B5, so I can *see* everything that way. Re the Dutch doors and upsetting the journal balance, you can glue the offcuts together onto the outer pages, so they are still separated from the moving pages, but keep the edges balanced. I wish I'd discovered that trick a long time ago! 😂 Or you could look into pencil boards (jetpens are the most affordable I've found, but I'm in Aus so the conversion and postage kills me) so you're not losing your page into the grooves of the Dutch doors underneath.

So happy to find this video. After journaling for 1 year, I've developed 12-page monthly spreads for my 160 page A6 notebook. Like you, I prefer to have an entire calendar ear in one notebook. Following your example, I drew thumbnails for all 160 pages. Knowing what my layout will be takes the stress away from starting my 2025 notebook. You've shown me that you can still be creative even when your spread designs are constructed exactly the same. Thanks a million!

This year my journal was chaotic to me. We moved in December of last year, and due to the house needing a lot of repairs most of my stuff is still boxed up. I didn't have the money to replace things that I knew were in boxes so I just took the journal that I did keep out for 2024 and started using it. I have a monthly calendar and I have daily boxes. What's so funny is that some months the pages are full of photos, writing and I fit a day or two per sheet, but other months I have 4 or 5 days per page because nothing was going on or no photos. While it is chaotic and no where near what I used to do I actually like that I left it and just filled in when stuff happened. So in 2025 I plan to just have the monthly calendar, the yearly planner, and then I'm only going to write down in the journal when things actually happen. I'll use more decorations since I now have my washi, pens, etc unpacked, but I do want to have more order to the chaos. I am also going to go back to doing my habit trackers because I want to start walking more and that will force my hand. :) Love your setup, it's nice and clean.
