Not at all :) we lightly spray the floors to break down dirt and soil . We do not saturate the floors at all. The only type of floor that we would have to take extra safety precautions would be with laminate flooring . 😊 When working with Wood floors, Vinyl, Lvp, or even engineered wood this method and process is completely safe. Like I mentioned earlier we do take extra safety precautions with laminate floors.

Honestly I would have pre treated the carpet with a light degreaser and scrubed it in with a brush that had a super long handle, then extracted and steam cleaned & then once everything is clean done a final steam to disinfect, particularly with distilled white vinegar.

Don’t walk on carpet with shoes. Don’t allow food in the living room. Clean up stains right away. Vacuum all the time. If you can’t do those simple things, then just get tile or something. There’s no excuse that carpet should ever get that dirty if it’s inside of a home. smh
