So this is a technical rather than spirited drive. Thanks for this. As I've planned a drive on here as part of a larger driving trip and now i know what to expect.
@MotoringNomad14 күн бұрын
Definitely not spirited! Not in this type of car anyway. I was up on three wheels a couple of times and the ground clearance (and road surface) is poor in a lot of areas.

I'd choose the Mazda. no way would i ever buy that BS 3 cylinder.. i have a highly modified 2015 Mk7 Fiesta ST (only 72 thousand kilometers on the clock) and it goes mad.. Stock turbo but stage 2 Peron Pro tune with all supporting hardware, i don't need any more power, its perfect because i still have that big torque shove low down.... an absolute beast and, the GFB Diverter Valve+ makes it hold full boost all the way to 7K RPM.. But that exhaust note at full boost from the high flow CAT.... It's priceless!!! Sounds fkn mad.. One thing, Mazda needs to change that insanely ugly steering wheel... Look at that big round lump in the middle... looks crap IMO..

Great review! Currently fighting with my decision on a multistrada. I rotten MT09 now but just looking for a change after I rode my buddies 2012 pikes peak with ohlin's suspension. He tells me whether I get a pikes peak or the s model, don't go with sky hook suspension? He and three other or so friends said the same thing. Is it really that bad do you think? I mean if you know or have ridden one? I won't be doing a track day with it. Some people claim to be disconnected with it and some people rave how great the suspension is with skyhook. Again not sure if you have any experience with it but I thought I'd ask as many people's opinions as I could. Anybody else feel free to chime in! Get an older with Ohlin's or save my money and get a newer bike with skyhook? Lol thank you everyone

Unfortunly I find your C63 inspection and customer skills not being very positive, I own 2 W204 series including the C63 as well’s other brands and the pre facelift transmission is super smooth and just as good as my post facelift C63. The C63 is for driving enjoyment and enjoying yourself and it is superb at that.

I'M CONFUSED, BY THE SPEED, WAS THAT PORLOCK HILL YOU DROVE UP , OR NOT. ? MAYBE IT'S THE OVERGROWN TREES AND VERGES THAT CONFUSE ME, YOU REALLY SHOULD HAVE STATED THAT , ONE WAY OR THE OTHERE. IT LOOKD LIKE THE TOLL ROAD. MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT DRIVING UP THAT HILL, BACK IN 1958, WAS IN A KNACKERED 1935 MORRIS 8. MY FIRST CAR, AT 17 YRS OLD. I'D HEARD OF LYNMOUTH ( OUR DESTINATION, BUT WAS NEVER PREPARED FOR A INFAMOUSE HILL LIKE PORLOCK, ( 1 IN 4 ) AS WE APPROACHED ( MY BROTHER WAS WITH ME ) HE SAID GET IN IST GEAR, IT HAD BEEN , FOR THE LAST 5 MINUTES, AND SHE CAME TO A HALT. A GUY IN A HUMBER SNIPE, PULLED UP AND SAID, ''YOU'LL NEVER GET UP THERE IN THAT THING SONNY, AND TOLD US ABOUT THE TOLL ROAD, WHICH WE USED.. FIRST SIGHT OF PORLOCK HILL, IS LIKE HAVING TO DRIVE UP THE SIDE OF A HOUSE.WITH NO ABILITY TO TAKE A FASTRUN AT IT.

Hi there, I have owned this bike for a month now and i am having an absolute blast! But to be fair, not having any major downsides for the bike is not really realistic. Ive owned my motorcycle for a month now, and i've experienced some common problems. Watch the videos of 'just the way it is' to get a really good view on the problems that can occur owning this motorcycle. 4 major issues that always need to be fixed: 1.The exhaust valve will get stuck because of heat problems eventually. This needs to be lubricated often, or even better, removed fromt the exhaust. 2. The fuel sensor is broken. The fuel sensor will drop from 90% to 60%, but never in between. Ocassionaly it wil give a complete error. But thankfully it will disappear. I've heard eventually the sensor will completely fail. It can be fixes under warranty i believe. 3. The dasboard will fail in rainy conditions. 4. Cilinder problems. These last 2 problems are probaly already fixed under warranty if you pick up a used one. Problems i've experience in a month (including a 1.800 km trip trough germany). Total is about 3k kilometers. - The clutch gets spungy quickly, you need to bleed it often - My foot lever for gear changes got stuck completely. It had to be towed to a garage. The gear lever has a problem with its springs, which can completely break. This is common and sadly it happend to me quickly. - Finding neutral is a pain in the ass. Weirdly, i can find it easily when engine is not running. My attempts to find it running have caused the problem above i believe. While driving it can be found easily too sometimes, but standing still with enginge running is impossible. - The fuel consumption is high, and the range is low. I am talking 6-7 litres á 100 kilometer, total range about 300 kilometer (if you drive economical). Which is ok, but would like to get more on a touring motorcycle. - I miss some luxury, like warning lights or cruise control. But thats personal i guess! These are not the only occurring common problems, so i really advice to watch the videos of 'just the way it is'. And yeah, rear brake is pretty awfull haha.

Thanks for posting this 👍 It looks like you covered a lot of different parts of the track, so, it begs the question from a spectators point of view, which was your preferred place and why ? Just asking for a friend who hopes to be there next year for the first time 😉
@MotoringNomad8 ай бұрын
We got around a few parts of the track but, at 37 miles in length, there are so many options! I've been five times and there are loads of places I haven't watched from. Once the roads are closed it's difficult to move around so you can be stuck in one place all day. Bungalow is probably my favourite location (from those I've visited) because it's wide open. You can see the bikes for a good period of time and moving up and down the road opens up different viewing angles.

Question. Does the Gsx-s have engine vibration as the revs climbed? I have a new 2023 and the higher the revs the more vibration that comes through the bars, the seat, the foot pegs and the gas tank. Is this normal? My mirrors are blurry at any rpm above about 4-5k too.

I always thought Lotus gave up on big-bore Group 7 sports racers after producing the two flops the Lotus 30 and the Lotus 40 ( a Lotus 30 with 10 more mistakes added !!!). I suspect the original 1960's plans for the Lotus 66 featured neither a sequential 6-speed gearbox nor a part- carbon fibre chassis. Had it done so, then I suspect Colin Chapman and Maurice Phillippe would have incorporated such features in their radical 1970 F1 car, the Lotus 72.

@@MotoringNomad Exactly. I almost bought it twice, then checked the price 2 years later and it was 1,5 to 2x more. So that ship is gone 😅 Baby Black Series so I understand it.
