My Grandad appears on here. He was Billy Hill and had the Pawnbrokers on High St. in Hanky Park, Old Salford and can be seen in the photograph of his shop stood in the doorway, in a clip from the famous film ' Love on the Dole' apart poverty in Salford in the 50's.

i remember the old picture house ( then the bingo hall ) mysteriously burning down in about 1992 along with the rugby ground , i lived in Dumbell st from '88 to 2019 and i remember the Beehive pub on Queensway before it became Holyrood kids nursery

Some of Marcel Donne's covers are the only ones I accept. There are almost no covers of 64 tunes which do justice to the original 64 tune. With Marcel Donne's he has had to really get inside the tune and envelop himself in it so he really feels what the original was trying to do. This enables him to accentuate some of the elements hard to create on a SID and add colour and embellishments of his own without diluting the heart of the original SID version.

Excellent video. Grew up in Clifton (Falcon Crescent) from 1984-2006. Haven't lived there since. Would love to go back to the time these photos were taken. Looks so much more serene and peaceful. edit: my house is in the photo at 3:02 (obviously before I existed)

Hi, these photos are amazing! Anybody know what year were they taken?? I grew up on Falcon Cresent... there's a pic at 3.03 mins that shows kids playing cricket outside 108 Falcon cres...I used to play cricket out 108 Faclon cres ??

Very late 59 to mid 70s i think the photos were taken. Obtained through internet n library etc, glad u liked it, yes the photo was called kids playing cricket on falcon crescent

I was brought up in Pendlebury as a kid my gran lived in coronation st.Funny things you remember ,the corner shop had heinz 57 advertised on the windows.I also remember Pendlebury market and my favourite place of all a toy shop on the corner.
