Hello, good sir. I recently watched Dux's Traders Edge course, but I couldn't understand a few things. 1)Is dollar block a pattern or just something you use to boost your win% on Bounce short and FRD. Same for multi-day runners, is it a pattern or just a situation. 2)Do Gap up short and Bounce short work on multi-day runners or does the stock need to be on its first green day 3)If there are multiple resistances at different levels, how do we use them for Bounce short - do we add up the $ amount at every level, or do we only use the last resistance. I would very much appreciate it if you could help me with these questions. Thank you in advance!
@statstrader Жыл бұрын
1) $ block is the pattern with its own criteria for different market caps and floats. Multi day runner means a stock ran for a few days. 2) bounce short can be a multi day runner, gap up short must be on first green day 3) yes you can add these resistance levels, ONLY if one of the previous resistance levels hasn’t been cancelled before. You’ll have to go back and look if the resistance was cancelled. Cancelled resistance doesn’t count and must be omitted.
@MrKrischun Жыл бұрын
@@statstrader Wow, thank you very much for the answers. So for multi-day runners that end with a gap up, as you said on the video, must be shorted using dollar block and not gap up short?

Hi good day Sir, Steven Dux has had a recent video lesson Trading Edge and I’ve watched the video and concerning the Individual Resistance, Im a little bit confused on how he computes Indivudual resistance, is it historical day volume * its closing price or aversge price to get the Individual resistance dollar amount, do you have any idea how to compute Individual Resistance Sir? thank you
@statstrader Жыл бұрын
Individual resistance= average price * daily volume You can get average price in excel by adding day low and day high and dividing by 2
@johnpenaflor2662 Жыл бұрын
I have a question sir , How did he compute the dollar block, was it through the pre market vol. prediction when he first shorted DWAC on the top?
@statstrader Жыл бұрын
$block = average price*daily volume. He shorted DWAC using historical highest $block as a reference (AMC, GME were the highest before DWAC)
@miked68012 жыл бұрын
Additional info for your video: 1)Those 1:10 ratio happens 4 times in the course of 6 years from 2016 and happen 2,3 times this year 2022 alone so anyone can benefit from this if it ever happen in the future 2) The original method is consolidation price*volume but you can track data using price*HOD as well 3) The fading percentage is the range it drops intraday from the high compare to entire range it spike from previous day close to current day high. I think the original method is to minus the LOD not the closing price but I could be wrong 3) DWAC play that he short at the top is pretty much gambling since Type of DWAC stock has never happened before in the history so using GME and AMC stat to apply are not sufficient and also those are only 2 samples so not enough of course but he has capital. These trade can turn into second DRYS and you never know. I won’t say it’s a pure luck but it’s super risky, if DWAC decide to come back and break the day high, he is down couple hundred thousands $ instantly. For the long from bottom, he mainly use the bounce % on big MC because DB at that time is not sufficient anymore but there is a certain % bounce it can create and those % range works well and main key thing helps him take profit at the top of the bounce and the decision to short next Hope this info help 🙏

when separating stocks to analyze how they trade such as range, drops, spikes etc do I have to categorize float as well or can I just use market cap since the market cap is the total amount of money the stock is worth? I am just wondering because it feels overwhelming trying to categorize based on market cap and float as well such as 1-10m float 1-20m cap, 1-10m float 20-50m cap, 10m-20m float 1-20m Cap and so on. This just feels like a lot so should I stick to certain market cap and float? I am thinking of also doing a 1 on 1 with you but just had a baby so money is just a bit tight until next month.

Think of it this way: float is the supply of a stock. First, you define a pattern, then each stock within a pattern is assigned it’s float and market cap category. I really enjoy the live trading re-caps in this format, when I was starting out I found Warrior tradings prospective streams helpful because it allows the viewer to say in their head ‘I’m l/s here’ and you can see if your right or wrong, rather than a retrospective recap where the viewer will say ‘oh I’d just have bought the bottom and sold the top/ sold the top bought the low’. Also, you should consider putting a price on your data, like a Patreon or something where you can keep updating it, or a once of payment of $x and the buyer manually inputs there on, thanks brother!

So lets say your up 2.5R on a trade and your TP is 3R but it hits 2.5R and then the stock begins to drop and then hits your stop loss which results the trade in being a loss . How does this affect you psychologically or have you already accepted this to happen as part of your system and are okay with taking the loss as long as you follow the rules? How would this affect you if it happened twice in a row or even 3 times in a row?

@statstrader3 жыл бұрын
Float rotation is generally a bullish factor especially on micro float. But it doesn't necessarily means that a stock is going to double. However, if a market cap of a stock is 100M and float 1M, for a stock to double it needs to gain additional 100M is dollar volume on the day. I always look at market caps to determine whether a stock can double or not. Typically the lower market cap the higher the chance of a stock going supernova.
