Calibration is for the dual-cymbal VH10 HH to adjust the contact point of the two cymbals. You calibrated nothing with the VH11. The only thing you need to do is place the VH11 cymbal so it's just resting on top of the trigger and tighten the clutch. That is all.

There are so many incorrect videos that apply the VH10 calibration procedure to the VH11. Thanks for this video!

Im a little bit confused. As soon as I loosen the clutch to calibrate, the hihat drops down, making it impossible to calibrate. How is it supposed to work ?

Ha nice job, I enjoyed the bits of humor about waiting for paint to dry. I'm so surprised there aren't more DIY videos like this, like ppl don't really pimp out their keyboards. Which is weird bc guitars can be pretty decorative. I'm hoping to paint my keyboard but it's 88 keys, I'm a little scared to take it apart. Was hoping there was another way. The final result looks very cool btw, orange pops on stage. I'm wondering how terrible or awesome it would be to rhinestone mine 😅💎💎💎 dunno. Anyway cheers!

From my personal experience with the Roland TD-9 and TD-30 the best response experience I had was with the combination of the FD-8 pedal and the CY-12R cymbal that I used for the Hi-Hat. The TD-30 module software supports it, the response is phenomenal, in my opinion, better than the VH-11, which is certainly much more expensive.

You've inspired me to buy this black digital piano and just coat it with a spray finish instead of spending literally $60 more for the "Pearl White" model of the same thing. Love the orange paint job done here and am glad you left some of the black as trim to go with the black key tops. I think Orange, Black, Silver, White, actually went very nice together!❤

Thanks so much for doing this video. I haven't been able to get the VH-11s to close properly or perform like a real hi-hat for months until I watched this. I didn't realise the importance of placing the hat just resting on top of the sensor below. I was thinking of investing in the VH-13s before watching this, so you saved me some cash, too. Big thanks, Dan 🙂

As I’ve mentioned around a million times within the comments… this isn’t an experienced tutorial and I realised I made a load of mistakes here 🥲
@MediaMusik7772 жыл бұрын
@@Dan_ClarkeMusic i think it looks good but i sanded all the top coat with 220 and then 600 and then polished it with 1000 grit. I used high grade white primer and gunmetal black on my korg padkontrol and I used then matte clear coated since the metal has natural gloss already it would reflect too much.
