Those triggers aren't actually triggering samples, but rather opening gates live. They actually served no purpose in this specific mix, as deceiving as that may look. Everything you hear is live drums.

This appears to be a performance series kit, but they always use a collectors for recordings. Why is that? And, do you know what wood this and your collectors kit are?
