I have a lot fear of cancer and physical illness in general. I have 4 small children, am hopeful for many more and I just cannot imagine how I could take care of them while having a serious physical illness. For those struggling with it, I hope you know that some people (like myself) want to hear about your journey and be there for you, whether its listening to you or praying with you, being present to you, or running errands for you. Prayers for all who have cancer or who have had it in the past.

Thank you for this. Im 27 with 3 small kids. I have an irrational fear of cancer. I have lost several close family members to cancer and my mom had surgery to remove pre-cancerous growths. Every time I see a little bruise or have a headache, I immediately think it's cancer. It's something I must work through, but the grace you all talked about this with is very encouraging to me. Thank you.

I had Hodgkins Lymphoma at 25, it lead to my full conversion to Catholicism, I am so grateful even though it was difficult. God was with me all the way. My life changed entirely and I’m now a wife and a mother at age 30. Glory to Jesus Christ!

I wonder why we ladies fear open and honest conversations. Women often cannot stand each other

@ I have lots of girlfriends and then two close best friends. I think a lot of women do get along. The three of us keep each others secrets and essentially have blackmail on one another. Thus loyalty for life 🤷♀️

Wow what a treat :) incredible conversation, thank you to the both of you. All glory to God. This is a difficult topic for many and I'm happy that you two managed to amplify the love of our Lord in what it means to be alive, and what it means to confront our inevitable death. Side note, I'm going to tell my wife about this conversation, she needs to watch it too. So honey, if you're reading this, I ate the last biscuit, yes it was me.

I had Hodgkins Lymphoma when I was 23 years old. After six months of chemo, I was and have been cancer free since… I’m now 45. It was a very difficult road but I would never change it … God blessed me in so many ways through my cancer journey. And he even blessed me and my husband with three boys … which doctors were concerned about my fertility. Cancer changes things and it is never easy, but God really does bring wonderful blessings through it, if you trust in Him!

Someone has told my husband to give a woman his chair, he had just had surgery and couldn’t stand long, this was like the 8th surgery after an accident, he had a 6 inch pocket in his leg still. I’m careful about that now, most men and young men give up their seats without being told.
@cfradd2 күн бұрын
Well that’s obviously an exception & he could simply said mommy he has medical issues, but I think it’s still good to challenge other young men 😊
@GaserBeam-hi4ez2 күн бұрын
@ most men aren’t inclined to talk back like that, even nicely, and he does naturally want to be chivalrous so he just gave it up without thinking. I wasn’t attacking you, or saying what you did was wrong, just sharing my experience. I’ve taken notice now and most men and boys know and are glad to give up seats. Even you hesitated in the telling of your story.

Certain women have intimidating personalities, and I am scared to confront them because I am not the best at arguing. I get nervous and tongue-tied, and I may compromise just because I dislike disagreements and feel uncomfortable. I am often envious of women who can speak their minds freely and are unafraid of the truth. I am generally too scared, so backbiting is easier. Then there is the fear of "if I bring this up, am I making a mountain out of a molehill?"

I just "entered" my chronic ulcerative colits era - ive suffered from IBS forever but once I got married and moved to an agricultural area it worsened and became chronic ~ my husband and I are on a health journey now to learn how to live with it and it's been so profound and instructional. He is going carnivore and I'm on a low fodmap anti-inflammatory diet. Salmon, olive oil, avocados and Chicken. bone broth and homemade marshmallows with marshmallow root and beef gelatin help me come off of flare ups! :)

If your child comes in asking for help - stop the video and help! I can’t believe it took for the child to come in twice to realise your child is in need of your attention and help before you stop the video? We are strangers to you - don’t put finishing content above your child needing you. I hope you were not annoyed with her for asking you a question because your facial expression and tone kind of had a little mask slip in the moment there Cameron 🤔🧐

I have been struggling for the past 4 years with autoimmune issues. I have attempted carnivore on and off, but the social aspect of it has been a challenge. I am currently going through your same struggle of symptoms returning (brain fog, fatigue, even anxiety/depression) and the worst part… the feeling of my throat closing every couple of hours throughout the day. How did you approach this and did it go away? Encouraged by your words! Trust God, all of us are on a journey. The suffering is temporary. Looking forward to hearing your experience.

This was so needed - so many false notions of what is means to be a woman, including this Catholic cottage core we are seeing in young Catholic women and the expectations put upon them by men who tell them the external trappings are what makes them a woman. My daughter was told by several young men that she wasn't dating material because physically her very petite frame wasn't good for having babies (seriously!). Another refused to shake her hand at a debate because she was wearing a suit instead of a dress. She had a boyfriend break up with her because she had the Covid vaccine and that potentially could render her infertile and that wasn't something he was willing to accept because to him, her primary role was to have babies. Wow! So anyone who is infertile or cannot find a good man to marry, or doesn't feel called to marriage is less of a woman?! Her identity and self-worth were so severely damaged. She was told that women had to stay home and not have careers which led her to wonder why God had given her, and many other women, brilliant minds but they weren't supposed to use them in medicine, education, law, the arts, etc. She and many young women are being told it's an either/or option (either you get married and have babies OR you don't get married and pursue your other gifts) not a both/and option as a married woman. What a toxic interpretation of who we are before God. Thank you for having these conversations.

As a woman deliberately celibate for the Lord, I'm allergic to this newly clothed misogyny - often prevalent in 'red pill' spheres but even followed by many Christians! - that all woman's value is her fertility. They tend to see the worth of a woman as pleasently looking incubator for their offspring. They don't care about her mind, heart, what she thinks, that she's a person with a full dignity before the Lord. I'm finding this _very_ troubling. That's not what the Bible teaches, that's not what theology of the body teaches. A woman is to be a partner, equal in dignity, and different in aspects of complementarity. Only Eve was deemed an equal partner of Adam, 'a bone of my bond'; his kind. The natural vocation of marriage is for both spouses to reach Heaven together, to learn holiness by daily acts of sacrificial love. Children are the natural extensions and fulfilment of that love. And it's partaking in God's creation. But it's very different from treating a woman as a mere incubator while being an obedient maid and calling oneself a traditional Catholic, for 'putting woman in her place'. These young people are misguided and that devoutness (because they think they're doing in 'right', 'traditionally') is wrongly exploited.

Thank you Cameron and Caroline! I don't usually comment but I really felt like I have too. I am trying to figure out chronic pain and an autoimmune condition. I got diagnosed a year ago and was told nothing can be done. I felt defeated until I came across carnivore diet that led me here somehow. I am a Catholic from India and I can't thank God enough for finding this video. I've just started a meat-based diet a week ago and a lot of my symptoms and pain have gone. I found this video so helpful because there is a lot of information and it's quite hard to navigate. I have a goal to put my autoimmune into remission if possible. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

This is so profoundly beautiful and true in so many ways. Society tends to label minor challenges as “disorders” and frame them as part of “mental health awareness,” quickly resorting to medication before addressing the deeper issues in the way we are meant to-by humbling ourselves, accepting our pain, and offering it up to God, who sees us as strong enough to endure them. Modern practices have also encouraged us to distance ourselves from the sacred traditions surrounding death and burial, viewing death as a negative event rather than recognizing it as a beautiful passage to our Lord and eternal life with Him. Suffering and death are not meant to be avoided but experienced; they humble us and remind us of our dependence on God as His children. Without His presence, we face spiritual, as well as, physical death and unhappiness. True love is found in enduring suffering due to our failings, pushing through the burdening effects of death, and rising above it all by continuing to love unconditionally into all eternity. If only today’s world truly understood and accepted this, then it would know Jesus Christ is King, for He embodies all of it in His Life, Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Life after Eden is God’s call to follow the path of His Son, enduring suffering as He did throughout our time on Earth, and rising above it, even though it comes as a consequence of our first parents’ sin. It also involves accepting death as a profound symbol of humility before God, recognizing it as an essential part of our journey back to Him. This is the essence of true love. Our existence is a gift, and the greatest gift we can offer back to God is who we become for Him WITH HIM, through accepting suffering with humility and recognizing we cannot live without Him.
