Take out the airbag in the dash So much easier to get your hands in

Out-effing-standing! I have fixed some pretty random crap via KZbin but this one takes the cake for redneck ingenuity in cutting that access because otherwise the whole dash has to come off. God bless you, brother! I also thought that Oreilly looked familiar so I street-viewed mine and it’s the same! If you’re still around, I owe you several beers

why not just stick the sensor in right up front and have the cord come out the front of the box closer to you?

I was thinking that too. It doesn’t have to go back in the same place right? Doesn’t it just stick between the fins?

@@TeeP1987You can cut out the slot where the cabin air filter is supposed to go & put it there.

I know this is an old post, but did you pull the old one out through the bottom? and if so, did the top stopper just push through the top hole?

It goes the other way, push down from the top and pull it out the bottom. Pro tip - tie some wire or some to the end and then you can tie the new sensor to the end and pull it back through

Thank you! I just did mine saved me a thousand dollars. Except I used a utility knife heated the blade and cut the plastic like that made it look clean and jb welded the piece back in place and I used fishing line to snake the new sensor back in place
