Maybe it's the brand of clay you are using. I have clay snowmen that I made many years ago that are still the same as the day I made them. After I finish sculpting it and letting it dry, I seal the clay with paint and a clear sealer.

Angie, loved all of the projects. I think the updated box is my favorite. Isn’t it necessary to have the glue wet to get the crackle?

Thanks Katherine! I've had it crackle on both wet and dry. I think you get a bigger crackle on the wet. I've noticed I needed to be careful not to smear the glue and paint together and then end up with no crackle.

What a huge difference!! Love the room. Everything from the stenciled wall to the cute as a button mail holder is just so beautiful. Btw, I’ve found that my old electric knife works well to cut foam.

Thanks Katherine! I've heard that an electric knife works well but I haven’t been able to find one at the thrift store and I don’t want to pay full price😂. I'm hoping one of these days I'll stumble upon one when I least expect it.😁
