I agree to initially fill it short, but then run the engine so the filter canister fills with oil, THEN do the final oil check and top off fill.

Does coolant really circulate effectively in the expansion tank? If not, you have 100% coolant in the expansion tank and less than 50/50 in the rest of the cooling system.
@antialpha101828 күн бұрын
Hey just asking can I just drain the whole system at the end and do the normal 50/50 mix to fill it
@JTWrench727 күн бұрын
If you drain from just the petcock on the radiator you'll get about 50% of the total coolant out. But if you want, you could do that, then add 50/50 mix. You'll still have some older coolant in there, so it wouldn't be a complete flush.

At 1:31 Looks like you need a New Left Front CV Axle outer boot leaking grease

IMO, it's good to double check that pre-gap.

Follow the lines of the object being painted. With rattle cans and wheels, spray in a circle. Your paint was way too dry.
@JTWrench7Ай бұрын
Thanks, I'll try that here in a bit.

do it in the garage with the door open. less wind better application. outdoors is not a good place to spray paint anything except art.

No mention made of gasket on drain and fill plugs. Also torque values.
@JTWrench7Ай бұрын
There's no gasket, and it's 28 ft lbs. You're not fitting a torque wrench in between the transmission case and the subframe.

@@JTWrench7Thanks much for this information. I don't know this car very well but find it odd that GM does not use a crush gasket. Much appreciated.

Can this work on a cobalt ss turbo
@JTWrench72 ай бұрын
Flushing the coolant is a pretty universal process, but the location of the expansion tank may be different.
@alexperaza22122 ай бұрын
@@JTWrench7 did it last night the except expansion tank and drain plug were in the same spot as the video thank you also when I filled the coolant after flushing my coolant went down a lot after driving it is that normal
@JTWrench72 ай бұрын
@@alexperaza2212 Yeah the level can drop as air works out of the system. If you need to add any fluid to it juse use distilled water so that it's still at the minimum fill line when cold.

Clockwise or counterclockwise smh
@JTWrench72 ай бұрын
Not sure if you're referencing the petcock or the expansion tank cap, but to open both you'll need to spin both counterclockwise like normal. Sorry if the video wasn't clear.

1. I love the product placement of the Powerade 2. I found the bungee chord tip to be incredibly clever! Not something I’ve thought of before.

Will this type of coolant work for 2017 yaris ia?
@JTWrench74 ай бұрын
It should! Check the Yaris and see if the radiator cap lists the coolant as FL-22. That's the mazda specific coolant. Although to be fair, if you completely flushed out the coolant and replaced it with the Toyota red you'd be okay.
