I love how it turned out but Personally I wouldn’t take the hose to furniture. You can see where it ruined the wood on the inside it looks bubbled. Maybe just a scrub brush and a bucket of water way work better. The piece is beautiful. Nice work.

@@Ontheflipside2021 thank you! Trust me it’s not bubbled at all, where do you see that? Maybe just the way it looks in the video? A little water won’t hurt it at all especially if you let it dry completely!

Beautiful job! And just the right amount of talking. LOL Explanations are very helpful. Did the color wash raise the grain of the wood requiring you to re-sand?
@renewedbycloe5 күн бұрын
@@conniesisco6468 thank you! Lol 😆 No, it really didn’t, I only sanded with 120 grit to start so it’s not ultra smooth to begin with. If it’s not as smooth as you want it to be I would sand in between top coats, or even apply a tiny layer of clear wax to the last coat.

I noticed you didn’t use a higher grit sandpaper after the 120 grit.
@renewedbycloe7 күн бұрын
@@jafallica yes, for paint washing you don’t need to bc the wash raises the grain a bit. You can do a super light sanding with 400 grit after the wash dries or in between coats of poly. But you have to be really careful not to sand off any of the paint so I don’t recommend it for beginners.

I've just started flipping and I know most mineral paints are all in ones and don't require a rope coat. However in my shop I'm noticing dusty fingerprints not brushing off easily so I am opting to put a top coat for the sake of easy cleaning in the future. Is this something I need to worry about really or after several days of drying dusting off will be fine without a top coat?
@renewedbycloe8 күн бұрын
@@aprilnewman8591 it really depends on the paint, an enamel like the one I used almost never needs a topcoat, but I always protect mineral paint with wax or poly, it just does better that way.
