I'm Welsh but had the fortune to live in South America, both Brasil and Argentina, and I am 50, so I have seen Maradona and Messi. This might not be popular but Maradona for me is untouchable, Messi a close 2nd. Messi has always had great players around him MD didn't - he single-handled dragged teams to the promised land, left, and they won nothing for years, so I get the Messi debate 100%, BUT I can't even put a player above Maradona, he was literally married to a football.
