I love this video. I've taken two Spanish classes in the past and neither has explained the real differences in these three similar verbs. Now, I know and can speak better Spanish. Thank you so much!

Where did you get with those definitions???, you are totally wrong, I hate when they try to manipulate people with those definitions. if People who speak Spanish or Portuguese or whatever are Latin Americans. Americans who speak English are Germanic Americans????????

0:37 That is not like that in my country 🇨🇱, at all! Here, women don't ever adopt their husband's surname at marriage, actually, that is not even a legal option. Both socially and legally, all people maintain their surnames all life, even if they marry. Centuries ago, some women did add their husband's first surname to their own name connected by the preposition _de,_ but that is something of the past. I don't think any woman would even think of doing that now (apart from the fact that it would be illegal), and it would sound very weird and rancid to the rest of the society.

Wow, this lady (or the person who wrote the script) have no idea of what she’s talking about. I’m from Spain, and ceceo is a way of pronouncing the “S” in certain regions of southern Spain. For example the word “casa” (house) people who speak with the ceceo would pronounce it “catha” Standard Spanish does not have a ceceo.

This video has barely 600 views I'mod.2024, and is VERY helpful. More helpful than the other channels I have viewed (minus qroo, but that's based on personality) so, essentially, if the views on this video don't go up in the next two years; then KZbin has no invested interest in being informative.

Thank you ! is there an ATM at the airport?
@SpanishAcademyTV3 ай бұрын
I don't recall seeing one, but I also caution folks on using ATM's. When I want money, I generally go inside a bank to do the transaction. I have had personal friends that have had fraudulent charges somehow appear on their accounts after using them. I hope this helps!

Technically central America doesn't exist as a continent. So, many "central American" countries are in North America and some are in South America. No such thing as central. It would be like saying that Switzerland is in "Central Europe", no, it's in Europe, that's it.

Saying that the TH is a product of evolution seems like a handwaving without an actual explanation. The conquerors hypothesis gives an even that supposedly created the split. How do they read "ceceo" in Latin America to be distinct from seseo? Is that the only word where they have the theta sound? I think Ceceo is the stronger version where S also becomes Th.
