I really expect Baldwin IV to be put as the next gen cav. The reason for that is historically based, he used a lot of heavy cavalry in the war of Montgisard in 1177, I only hope he is not combo attack commander, but I do believe that there is high chance of being a combo attack commander. Im predicting that he will apply debuffs but we can never be sure.

I personally think Huo will phase out before nevsky, simply because of nevs mb utility. Huo is too squishy, and is a very "selfish" commander, not offering anything to the mb. Yeah, he has higher dps, but he dont really offer much to the mb outside of the slowdown. And tons of comms offer that, ragnars likely being the best at this point, especially if you run him behind scipio and put points into snare of thorns, or cage of thorns.

I don't know, bro.... we're due for an aoe cav commander. I mean, last one we got was Joan Prime, and that was AGES ago. Plus, Beli Prime was a bit lackluster, and im sure the devs have seen the lack of player investment. Cavs really need a nice pump, even if it's only one of the 2. I think aoe field comm, and a nice rally commander, likely both using combo attacks to take advantage of delta formation 🤔 but, this is all speculation anyways, we can only hope, and it's probably gonna get stomped by inf anyways 😂😂😂😂 Current inf meta is cracked in the mb, good luck to cavs catching up in 1 release 😂😂 Edit: I still think joan is the best secondary cav commander in the game, and it's gonna be really hard to phase her out. I think if anyone is phased out, it will likely be Huo, or POSSIBLY nevsky, though I believe that would be hard too for a mb march 🤔 I think Nevskys tankiness and mb utility will keep him around for a while yet. Huo is soft as baby poo 😂😂😂😂

The main criteria here actually seems to be how new comms are or what might be done with them next, regardless of what will retain value come what may. Mighty healing / true damage ain't where it's at, its just a hospital filler, especially for new players with weak gear. All range comms are niche. AoE for field will always be meta. Joan, Ragnar, Herman, all behind William just because smite might be a more common thing in the future? You say have him there for the LC pairing like ZL/Hermann isn't a meta pairing? LC pairs with anyone and some of those as well as William. The Will love makes no sense bro. Joan behind Ash is where I really draw the line 😂

The reason I ranked Hermann down is because skill damage isn’t as dominate as it used to be and Joan is only in risky cause new cavsoon 😭 I said that like 99 times once new cavs come out we can re-adjust their ranking!

We don't know that and it is still the dominant force on the field in the game as it stands. Everyone said that smite is it now for infantry based on the smite tree coming for William and yet Lilith just released a very powerful inf skill damage commander. We hear that archers are the ones still about aoe skill damage then a mighty healing dynamic appears so now it's this? This knee jerk analysis is getting silly. Lilith has said pretty clearly now that it intends to introduce lots of different mechanics to vary up game strategies, so why does skill damage have any less future than smite? There will be a place for everything in the future, it will be more about choosing your strategy and content creators need to let go of the meta idea or else you'll have to put everybody in the "risky" category 😅

Lillith is the reason most people pass on a support march. No one runs 2-3 troop marches and yet they still push support commanders with 2-3 troop march buffs to skills and talents. Instead of making the stats on leadership gear equal to the other gear, their bright idea is " let's make it weaker than other gear because they players will spend all their gems to equipment that set". Commanders like honda would probably be in the field if they lowered his rage cost to 1000 instead of keeping it a 73 billion. I've seen countless people complain to lillith about those very issues about leadership commanders and yet they apparently don't care because they keep adding the same type of commanders, or haven't fixed the gear or previous commanders.

What's worse is it's easy to fix: Helm gives 8% attack which is an epic level Fix: Helm gives 8% attack for 1 troop 11% attack for 3 or more troops. Honda 1350 Rage or half damage as the secondary... Same rules, but 1000 rage or full damage as a secondary with 3 or more troops. Change the top talent of the leadership talent tree: 44 points for 5% attack if leading a rally Cav: 43 points 15% damage for 10 seconds Inf: 42 points 2.5% attack, Def, Health Arc: 40 points 10% RNG 25% dmg for 2 seconds Most expensive tree with the worst bonus that only works in a rally.

One point I didn't consider because I forgot is the possibility of Philip being a good secondary with any commander because his kit is very generic and moldable. This I can see as a good way for a supporting commander over a pure march like Philip Trajan which has no DPS
