that's a very car-centric area on the woodlands side of i-35, i believe a safer and more assessable pedestrian route aside from fox lake trail the will be necessary, i've biked from there to edmond downtown and it's treacherous even for the able bodied

"Non-emergency" means they charge you $1500 on the trip back home from the hospital. My Mom couldn't walk back home from Mercy Hospital and they had to lift her to the ambulance., then they charged her $1500 because it was "non emergency" . So the message is "go bankrupt or die" Edmond Fire Dept. will take overtime salary to sit outside your garage and say "It's hazmat, our crew needs to sleep now" Terrific men.

Be careful people, because if you're a regular law-abiding citizen, 1 traffic ticket in 40 years living in Edmond, and you call for an ambulance for a close relative, the Edmond City Fire Dept (probably the one on Danforth) the weirdo with sloppy mustache will spit on your lawn as he leaves your home, will go into your house after YOU phoned them and make accusations against you to "OKC adult protective Services" because God knows if you're abusing a member of your family, the first people you call when they feel ill is Edmond EMSA (EMSA's NEW name this week??), so the same guys who take the large GAS GUZZLING Fire Dept truck for groceries (none of them, could say, take * their own car * for food NOT on the taxpayer's bill). Just ask yourself as a middle aged person with one speeding ticket in your life, if the weird guy with the sloppy mustache accuses you of abusing a close relative, if calling the 911 is worth your reputation. Ask yourself before you phone 911. Asking for a friend.

I read electric meters for close to 20 years. Easy job. You get to know where the bad dogs are. People get to know when you are coming to read their meter. No big deal. You can get in fantastic shape walking all day.

Personally, I like idea of tying a tax to its use. I am against raising property taxes to fund roads because not everyone that uses the roads are property owners. Sales tax is the way to go for this. Then everyone that shops in Edmond, and uses the roads to get there, helps pay for the cost. With that said, I personally MIGHT be open to replacing the temp 1 cent sales tax with a property tax to fund city operations, since primarily Edmond residents would benefit.

So the plans to turn littler into a green space have been scrapped?

This is great and I hope it happens but we need to stop with the red lights and awful signal system. People are getting tired of it, running red lights entirely, road rage, excessive speeding upwards of 60-70MPH to get to the next light before it turns red, I’m seeing this all over and I suspect a lot of it is due to the fact a light will turn red with no one coming or will prioritize one car wanting to turn left over an entire convoy of a dozen cars approaching the intersection.

a single bus traveling into okc, which is infamous for its number of transit workers is ridiculous, the fact that it runs 6am to 5pm weekdays makes it both unusable for tourism and also work im not really sure how you expect to expand the city into rural areas in 15 years when the bus route is all over the place. expand the bus routes to every grocery store you have, not just the two with the biggest parking lots, which would include the CO-OP to the north, or at least aldis Also add in a route to POPs while your at it, since it's the only reason people not living there ever travel out that way, it is on a historical route after all, and that'd be an easy headline , its a tourism destination which tax dollars likely see the most flourishing in edmond itself already, but its inaccessible through public transit or by foot. public transit would instantly raise the education levels and over all health of nearby arcadia as well. keep investing in public transit, it's almost getting there, just make it *fully* usable to the local community and economy and then you'll see rapid growth and less construction workers quitting mid-job for something they'll only pass by in their car
