man, these ceramic coating and that ppf or pff wrapping on these Tesla are way out of control. Why in the hell would you spent over $50k on a brand new car, then have to spend more time and more money in these bs. Just park the damn car in the garage and don’t go anywhere! There! Just ridiculous.

Do you mind sending a link or telling me which electric buffers (I think that’s the right term) that you used in this video? Was is the purpose of the smaller one? I am assuming for smaller/thinner locations? Also any pad recommendations?

What a beauty. Did you have to clay bar it before polishing?

So you are not concerned with the metal buttons from your jacket scratching the paint when leaning over the hood like that?

ok - How old was this car? I have a red 2022 August 8 delivery - Would a 1 year old car need a cut and polish before coating?
@tesladetails Жыл бұрын
Yes, i would recommend it. Some new cars even have scratches. I would recommend 3D One hybrid polishing compound with a microfiber pad for a one step correction & finish 👌

That’s a hell of a soap combination! 😆 How long did this take to complete? Nice work
@tesladetails Жыл бұрын
I Never recommend using dawn dish soap on a car UNLESS you are stripping it. Then you can add a little drizzle in to make it super sudsy. And then a splash of degreaser. To maintain it I recommend a PH neutral car shampoo, or slightly alkaline if it’s really dirty.

This job took about 5 hours.

Where was the tutorial for the ceramic coating application? This was more of a prep tutorial.
@CharlieLiuPhotography Жыл бұрын
Not really a tutorial in this video, just watching him wash his car for the most part. The Adam's ceramic process starts at 11:54 but there's not much to see.
@tesladetails Жыл бұрын
That’s the key, it’s all in the prep work. Applying it is as simple as doing a cross hatch pattern, waiting a few minutes, and then buffing it off. We will do another more in depth tutorial!

I have a Tesla model Y white, what products do you recommend for me? Also is it safe to use iron remover and wheel cleaner every time when I wash my car? I’m thinking to wash every week, I’m thinking to go with the superior products fury and cherry foam combo for the wash.. Do you recommend ceramic coating spray?
@tesladetails Жыл бұрын
We do like the chemical guys total interior for cleaning the plastics, leather, vinyl on the inside. For the exterior any ceramic waterless wash / ceramic detail spray would work for cleaning the exterior in between washes. And a nice PH balanced ceramic car shampoo for washes. A ceramic spray coating is a good option and may last 6-12 months. I would use an iron decon once ever other month, to a couple times a year. I would not use it every time. The ceramic coating should help industrial fall out from sticking into your clear coat.

Cool video! Really enjoyed the transition and music too. I noticed that you spray water into the opened grill - is there a reason why you do that? I hate it when water gets stuck in there so I end up closing the grill before spraying.

It’s a pretty easy product to apply! Just want to make sure to do a good strip wash, polishing, and IPA wipe first! Be sure to apply the product and level it evenly, then wait 1-2 minutes for the product to flash off before buffing off with a clean microfiber
