Are you really THE Kathryn Leigh Scott from Dark Shadows? I'm watching some videos about Dark Shadows, and finding out what all the excitement was all about. Now I'm hooked. I am Canadian, and never saw the show until finding it on KZbin. Good show, but I felt sorry for Barnabas Collins. Josette did the dirty on him by marrying his uncle, then Angelique curses him to become a vampire! Poor guy! Now to comment on your noble work conserning the disease your poor husband died of. Kathryn Leigh Scott is, hands down, my favorite Dark Shadows leading lady. I love how her character Maggie Evans was always the prize possession for John Karlen’s Willie Loomis, and later on, David Selby’s Quentin Collins. To this very day, Kathryn still praises Jonathan Frid for saving Dark Shadows from cancellation. Her roles as Maggie Evans (contemporary, 1970 Parallel Time, House of Dark Shadows), Josette duPres (1795-1797), Rachel Drummond and Lady Kitty Soames Hampshire (both 1897) were always awesome to watch. My favorite non-Dark Shadows roles of Kathryn’s are as Doctor Gail Collins in The Incredible Hulk episode “A Solitary Place” and as the Baroness in the Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD episode “Aftershocks.” Even at 80, she still looks smoking hot 😍 And because of Kathryn Leigh Scott, I’m a fan of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. Reason why is because she used to live in Minnesota pre-Dark Shadows (I’m also a Toronto Maple Leafs fan because Jonathan Frid lived in Toronto pre-and-post Dark Shadows)

I was like five or six years old, Dark Shadows was my favorite after school show. However, it gave me terrible nightmares and my mom threatened to not let me watch the show anymore-lol! Also, imagine growing up in an old New England house with the same red bricks in the cellar with creepy rooms just like on the show, you wouldn't want to venture down there as a kid-lol! It definitely made the show so realistic and captured my imagination!

Great book ! My daughter loves it & I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I don't read to many books , but I recommend it to anyone , especially Dark Shadows fans. You'll like it.

For it being your first time, you were great. You made me think you were Maggie. You were Jozette. You were Rachel. You were Kitty. Loved you. Still one of this fan's favorite. Thank you for your time on this amazing show.

Long ago, I worked at a commercial photo lab and some of the customers and clients were of course, from television and movies. A few of Dark Shadows actors came in and were both very nice as well as happy to share what was going on with them at that time. (Stroka and Pennock sp, Selby, and L.Parker). Later KLS came in wanting to get a fair amount of photos for autographs. What transpired was that I left later that day to take photos of her and Frid as she was doing a book signing as well as her photo signing. The best I remember was she was very warm and had a sharp sense of humour. Frid was introduced, shook my hand, and asked what they should be doing for the photo shoot. Both - ever the consummate professionals and we wrapped up within the hour. Location - Hollywood. Book signing at a bookstore in what was the Beverly Center. This was in the 1980s.

I was 12 years old when I saw you portray Maggie Evans on DS for the first time. You were definitely my first celebrity crush. I thought you were the prettiest of the whole female cast. Fast forward 40 years later, I still think you're the prettiest cast member, & you're still very pretty now! And "NO", I am not trying to flirt with you. Just making an honest observation. Trust me. Flirting has NEVER been my forte. I totally suck at it! LOL! ;)

Maggie Evans was the prettiest girl on Dark Shadows, prettier than Carolyn, Victoria, or Angelique. And Miss Scott is still beautiful, even today.

Kathryn I want to say that Maggie was my favorite lady on the show. You were the down to earth girl next door who was swept up in all the craziness of the Collins family. I loved the early years especially the scenes between you and David Ford who played Maggie's dad Sam Evans. The scenes between Maggie and Sam had a real father/daughter dynamic and were very touching. It was quite relateable and it really grounded the show. That relationship and Sam and Maggie's normal, working class lives, were a great contrast to the wealthy, blue-blood Collins family and also to the supernatural events happening at Collinwood.

Joyous and Sad. Those are also my memories from so long ago now. I loved this show and all the people in it beginning with Kathryn Leigh Scott, from the first black and white episode to the last when I felt as if I lost my best friend I never had.

I wish my late Fiance had this book back in 2010-13'. His late father had supra nuclear palsy, a brain condition. My late Fiance was the only caregiver of his dad and your book would have helped him tremendously. My late Fiance was round the clock caregiver and quit sleeping as a result. In doing so, however, he never was able to fully regain his own health, and sadly passed away in August of 2019. I can't quite describe how devastating it was on me when I suddenly lost my soulmate. I just wanted to thank you for writing this book. I hope that it will help others who may be themselves, or know of friends who might be thrust into being a caregiver and dealing with similar medical conditions. Thank you again for sharing this.
