Hi Meka! You always have exquisite taste! My favorites are Topless by ByBozo and Orchidée Vanille. Burberry Goddess was a huge it in my collection as Yum Boujee Marshmallow. I came back to my roots I’d say, which has always been easy reach perfumes. Happy New Year to you too!

I haven’t kept a detailed account of when I purchase, just the total number on my Fragrantica profile. But, estimating I added 20-30 this year! Of your list, I also picked up Tilia, Wedding Silk Santal (blind buy) and Baciami! A few other standouts include Amore Torrido, Guidance 46, Delphinus, Zenobia, Valaya, and Royal Sapphire 😌

Most of what I've ordered in the past year (since November 2023) has--for the most part--been blind-buys. I'm okay with that. The fragrance counters available to me are at a regular Dillard's and an Ulta. To start with, the testers are generally empty and mainstream designer fragrances are all that's available...and I'm not generally a mainstream designer fragrance kind of girl. I ordered about 10 samples last November after spending a month learning about notes, and learned that I could trust my instincts when it comes to fragrance notes...and after that, everything has been a blind-buy. I now have over 100 fragrances in my collection. Now...I find myself drawn to private label designer fragrances...but I don't have a bottomless wallet...so I did order some decants of those when they were offered at 25% to 50% off over the holidays. When a fragrance is $500.00 a bottle, I cannot afford to make a mistake. I have to KNOW it's a "love"!!! I have learned--and it's held true for 50 years--that I'm not an outright floral or sicky-sweet fragrance girl. I prefer spice notes, woody notes, and if it has incense, even better!!! My signature scent--from 1981 when it was released until November 2023 when my daughter encouraged me to broaden my horizons and save my little stash--had those notes. That has helped in the decision-making process.

A few of mine are: Sparkling Jo, Pavillon, Chelsea Nights, New Haarlem, Sunnyside Up, Kryptonite, Vanilla Rouge, Guidance, Miu Miu Fleur de Lait, Discovery set from House of Bo (Bombon, Casa Blanca Infinite Oud) Bouquet Encore and a whole lot more🤦🏽‍♀️.

Could you please tell me how the performance of opera en el theatro is ? It wasn’t always your favorite from the house right ? You used to love Mayrit….?

I have the same problem with the fragrance counters. And knowing I’m probably not going to buy from them makes me feel guilty. I’ve opted to get bundles of samples and decants several times a year. It satisfies my need to try new things but keeps my blind buys down. But I will probably never stop totally. I like musc Pallas also!

I can understand not liking to go to the department store to try fragrances. I really dislike going to the fragrances section at Macy’s for that exact reason. The salespeople are way too aggressive. I’d rather not be harassed while trying to sniff perfumes. Bloomingdale’s is a little better IMO.

My favorite houses : Amouage (material), Guerlain( angelique noire), Initio (psychedelic love), xerjoff( bouquet ideale), Armani privé(Rouge malachite), Le labo (Another 13), Ex-Nihilo (explicite) are my favorite houses. I love more from the houses and love more houses too : PDM, MFK, Marc Antoine Barrois, Ella K and so on

Interesting, never heard of the term slow living! I have l'eau d'hiver but can't smell it on myself which is unfortunate. My favorite calming scent is this is us by zadig&voltaire
