Fletcher Christian is a distant cousin. It seems I am distantly related to about everyone on Pitcairn Island.

All ok BUT what actually happened to Fletcher Christian did he die with his wife on Pitcairn,

The video isn't bad. Too many inaccuracies though. Among other things (some of them mentioned in previous comments): John Adams, the last surviving mutineer on Pitcairn, didn't "change his name to John Adams" as Brandon says, his real name was John Adams and he went by Alexander Smith while in hiding on the island.

Captain Cook died Valentines Day 1779 and at that time Fletcher Christian was a 14 yo living in Cumbria. To suggest Christian was onboard HMS Resolution when Cook was killed in Hawaii is a total fabrication

I enjoyed every moment of this interview. The unfolding of what is paradise was certainly a new perspective for me. The discussion of Jerusalem was very meaningful to me as I experienced many of the same feelings Pico described when I visited there. Rudy did an excellent job of asking the interview questions, and Pico was so thoughtful in his responses. I now have a different view of paradise. I loved the discussions about how family members are kept alive despite their earthly passing. Thank you for this interview to both Rudy and Pico!

Virgin Atlantic recebtly tightened up the criteria for entry into the Heathrow Clubhouse because it was getting too crowded. It's now only available to Virgin Gold status members, people flying in business class or above with Virgin, Aero Mexico or Delta, or those flying in premium who also have flying blue platinum or Delta diamond / platinum

This is wery informative to look behind the scenes of KLM like this and see that the purhase of SAS is the best practical way to grow for KLM now, so it was a mach made in heaven for them. I think that the changes in Eurobonus will be coordinated with Flying Blue so that the value of points get equal to each other as 1 to 1 first. Then after that prosess they might merge together as one program, or run paralell to each others for a couple uf years before merging as one i think.

I recently read Andrew’s book about walking the Camino with his son and enjoyed it. As I read it, I recalled and relived my first Camino (Frances) a year ago and my more recent Camino Portuguese. Having experienced 2 Caminos made the book more enjoyable for me. In a few weeks I’ll be heading back to Spain to walk my third Camino, the Del Norte.

Andrew, thank you for sharing your experience with us. My husband and I decided we would walk the camino within the next year or so. Can't wait to read your book.

Absolutely brilliant work. This book helps revive our perceptions about buildings and humanity. Protect the dirt under your feet my grandfather use to say. Integration did not fix black America and did much to help such communities just disappear.

A couple of things not mentioned in this interview: The population is now small and aging, so they need to attract young people, but their Xenophobia, which he touched on, has led them to only recruit among those who have left. There was a pedophilia scandal on the island some yers ago, and so among many who left their is bitterness and no desire to return. Probably their best bet would be to recruit among other nearby Polynesian islands: Tahiti, the Tuamotus, the Marquesas, etc.

Fascinating conversation and I will buy the book. The locals probably appreciated the tourism ... but didn't trust a Western journalist who was likely asking too many questions.

Has it ever crossed Brandon's mind that it wasn't 'Xenophobia' why he felt 'Iced out' ? It could simply because the locals thought he was a dickhead 🙂

Not agreeing to the theory that captain was tyrant, it was low important mission so he simply didn't have proper guard. He was great navigator, he simple wanted all crew to stay alive.

So these Americans take 'movies' as historical sources. Hopeless. Bet they can't wait to make a Disney fantasy about their heroism in Afghanistan. Where things are somewhat worse than at Pitcairn. Ongoing.

What a great interview I've read Bankcock tattoo & B.C.8 & I could not put either down till I was finished. I remember seeing people walking on the street reading his books & I could tell they weren't going 2 put them down either till they were finished! #1 I feel as if I've been Tiland . Then the way the main guy could look at people & see Their past life's karma or how theirs or others effects each other's . Thank you 4 this insite & conversation with a great arthur...
