Why is the knock not ment to be removed completely from the bushing? What if thr battery dies and needs replaced?

Is there a way to remove the tigger box from the string? Not that it is a problem to leave it decocked that way just a curiosity.

I prefer torque specs for fasteners. My hands have installed hundreds of thousands of fasteners in my life so snug to my hands may easily over do snug to the average person.

Very good points, repeatability builds accuracy. Just acquired a competitive crossbow, found the OEM scope was defective, they happily replaced and accuracy was confirmed. Great points on weighing arrows and numbering them. I have been shooting compounds for 40+ years and just switching to crossbows this year. I appreciate your information as it’s the same for all types of shooting, traditional archery or firearms repeatability builds accuracy.

Are these meant to be fired with the band still on it? Or is the band just for storage?

Got mine about a month ago, wanted to upgrade and not break the bank. I’m retired and don’t hunt a lot but still enjoy it. This crossbow is Awesome! Scary accurate and the whole package just feels good. So glad I purchased this one and I can only imagine how good the higher end models are. For me this is all I need. Very satisfied!

Don't buy it. I had one for two seasons and the string started fraying after about 10 shots, got through bow season ad had the string replaced. The next season a plastic cam bushing /sleeve broke on the the right limb and the string kept jumping off of the cam. The bow was out of warranty no help from Ten Point. Bow shop said they would need to send it back to the factory and it would need another string $450- $550 to fix it. I paid $700 new, so basically it is basically a disposable crossbow.

Do you suggest blue lock tight on the main bolt? I realize it would be redundant as the lock screw should hold the main bolt, but if the lock screw comes loose, then it might be a good thing we used some blue lock tight? Does the lock screw damage threads on the main bolt making it a bad idea to ever take it out (for shipping in the future perhaps)? Thanks again.

Sevr titanium 2.0 did better on a test. These look good. But can't go wrong with the set screw on sevr to practice with the actual one without damaging the blades.

I gotta say my favorite brand in the entire world is KTM, and tenpoint. I am obsessed with my tenpoint crossbows, I've had barnetts center point exc once I got my first tenpoint bow I'm never able to go back, I shot a tx440 and a raven r29x I bought the tx440 (this was last week) it's deffinintly worth the extra money buy a fucking tenpoint you will not be disappointed, they do not make a bad bow at any budget it's quality.

Thanks for the arrow numbering and grouping tip. Arrows 1, 4 and 5 are hitting in almost the same spot at 30 yards. Arrow 2 is over 2.5 inches off, at 10:00 and arrow 6 is 3 inches off, at 2:30. Any ideas what to do with these arrows?

Try rotating the nock to a different vane, it’s most likely the spine is in different alignment with the cock vane, if that works mark the vane as the new cock vane…if that doesn’t work satisfactorily, strip off the vanes and try bare shaft tuning by rotating the nock to find best spine orientation, then reflech

Boy O' boy here I go again. I'm a huge T/P fan but at the same time a huge Mathews-Mission fan. So I'm torn. I really like the Mission Sub1 XR. The problem is can I justify the substantial cost between the Sub1 and the RDX400. I will continue to research, review, and do my homework on both. I currently own a Excalibur Wolverine which is another quality x-bow. If you guys have an opinion on my choices with solid reasons let me know. I'd appreciate it. Because like said, I'm definitely going to buy one. BUT WHICH ONE !

Tenpoint is leading the game in crossbows but speeds have gotten so fast and w/ so much energy involved that the components are lagging and the 500fps components are wearing and failing exponentially faster than bows in the low/mid 400's.

That’s what I want to know too….. I also have the Viper S 415 , bought from Cabela’s about a week ago, and have not used it yet…. So far all the videos say that you can leave it attached to the string, but none bother to show how to release it, if we want to.

I just received a Siege 425 today. Seems like a decent bow but I do have a few minor quibbles. First of all, the trigger box came with a safety knob on the right hand side only even though it is threaded for a stud to be mounted on either side. I shoot left handed because I am left eye dominant so I have temporarily inserted a 6-32 screw on the left side. Hopefully, it will be possible to purchased an extra safety knob/stud from Ten Point. The one installed on the right side must have been installed with thread locker and it was so tight that I was afraid it would snap off if I tried any harder to remove it. I also found it odd that the holes in the stock for mounting sling swivels were too small and had to be drilled out to accommodate a standard set of sling swivels. There were also three different size Allen hex wrenches included in the package. I have no idea what any of them fit since I had to use my own #3 metric Allen wrench to tighten the scope mounting ring screws and there were no other parts that needed to be installed. I also needed to re-arrange the bolt quiver for left-handed use but I needed to use my own 5/64" Allen wrench since that size was also not included in the package. I suppose the Allen wrenches that came with the bow fit screws on it somewhere but any parts that need them are probably covered by the manufacturer's warranty and can't be tampered with anyway. Why not provide tools the customer actually needs to assemble and use the bow? The bow seems to shoot pretty well but so far I would say that it is not as accurate as my five year old Scorpyd Deathstalker 420. The only real advantages it has over that old bow are its smaller size and the fact that it has an excellent cocking/de-cocking mechanism whereas the old bow has none.

I have the TX440. I apply Scorpion Venom wax to the un-served areas of all 4 cables. Then I go back over with the foam applicator, and add a little lube behind the trigger like in the video. As for the rail (or lack thereof), I wipe it down with a lint-free cloth. No wax. I add a drop to each of the 2 ball bearings, wipe away any excess, and call it a day. I also make a habit of checking that little brush to make sure it isn't loose or has any debris from outside in it.
