Although I never played MMX8 (or any MMX game), I have constantly listened to a lot of the themes from the series, and I can definitely say without a doubt that this game has THE best Boss theme I've heard from the whole series. I will literally find myself humming this rockfest of a song at any given moment I love it so much. And the Mavericks and their stage themes are really nice too, I love all of their designs!

I admit, I really slept on this boss theme for the longest time; it's only very recently (and especially thanks to the 16-bit demake) that I finally gained the proper appreciation for it.
