Does the propane tank enclosure keep the tanks warm enough to prevent freezing of the propane?

Is his trailer braked or unbraked?

Companies need to hurry up and come out with built-in batteries to the floor of the trailer so that traveling will be a whole lot easier. I remember hauling a 3,500 lb trailer. With my model Y performance. Not something I would do regularly. But I basically have to charge every 60 to 90 mi. Just to be safe.

Towing - Just did a tow with a 2022 model Y performance. It was about 3,000 lb total trailer weight. Basically I had to charge every 60 to 90 mi. Since it's something I don't do often it was bearable. But basically the regular 9 hour road trip kind of turned into almost 14 to 16 hours. So at the end of the day if you're going to tow often, get a 500 mi battery pack. If you don't too often just make sure you're precise and when traveling long distance stay between 20 to 80%. And for best EPM (electrons per mile) stay at around 55mph. Berri No-ICE.

Exactly this. Tesla could develop a Tesla trailer being pulled by a Tesla vehicle with two battery banks interconnected. Recharge both at the same time at a sight, solar or a combination of the two. There could already be something like that in the pipeline.

We towed an enclosed 5x8 enclosed U-Haul trailer from Missouri to California in 2019. Range was impacted by a 1/3 capacity loss. However, with Tesla Superchargers, it was no problem. This was 2019. Five years later, tons more Tesla chargers everywhere.

so cool, will you keep the insulation for the summer too? Where did you get this stuff from? I am SO new to everything. Thank you!!! Another request, would you mind doing the winterizing how to? I mean explain it to a 6 year old kind of video. Thank you so much for your content! So glad you were ok and no fire had started.

I love how short and sweet and to the point your videos are. Where do you keep your snow shovel and broom? Do the solar panels work in the winter? Do you have to dig yourself out? And finally, how is driving the Alto in the snow? Do you feel stable? We have a Forester to pull our 1730, I felt like the chain connecting the cars was SO low to the ground, almost touching it, does this happen to you?

Thank you for the video! Your Alto is so pretty! On the water/grey water, does it show how many percent you have left or how much you have used? Your corner table is so cute! Did you find that you get the savings from the A frame you had hoped? We have the 1730 with bunk beds, but we have 3 kids and hope to use it for snowboarding, our local resort doesn't have hook ups at all though! My favorite part about the alto so far is the amount of light it gets!

Do you think that there might be a modification you could make to those shelves BEFORE they break. Perhaps some sort of reinforcement insert to the bottom part of the shelf where items sit? Does it have an issue where it connects to the door frame or is it just the bottom part of the shelf?

The screws also fell out on our brand new D21 cooktop. Dometic said to take it to an authorized repair shop but they cannot even look at it until middle of August. This being July 4 and prime RV time, it seems crazy to have to wait that long. I wish they would offer to send me a new cooktop. I wonder if Dometic has heard of high temperature Loctite to keep the screws from falling out?

Wrap your propane tanks with 12 volt Heat tape.. It will save you same grief. I would also wrap my water pipes with it.. As I can always charge my batteries....200-400 amps worth of lithium goes a long ways..

Loved this interview, you're living the life by being able to travel around the counrty with a camper and an EV. We have a Model X and a camper as well that we use to do weekend warrior style camping in WA and BC. I'm curious what other modifications you had to make to your Model 3 to tow a heavy camper? What hitch did you get and what is it rated for? What suspension components in the car did you have to upgrade? Did you have to get replacement tires that could handle the pressures from towing?

The thing with towing a TT with a Tesla Model Y is the hitch weight. Yes, the Tesla can tow up to 3500 pounds, but its max hitch weight is only 350 pounds. And some trailers that are, say, 3200 pounds have a hitch weight higher than 350 pounds. So this is something to watch for.

Hi, I love your review! We have one of these on order scheduled for delivery to CanAm in London, Ont. at the end of this month (Feb/2023). I noticed there seems to be a bike rack installed on the back of your A2124. I actually wrote to Alto about fitting a bike rack to the rear bumper and was informed that absolutely nothing could be added to the bumper except a sewage pipe. Is yours only mounted to the bumper or is the load being taken by the spare tire hookup? From what I've seen online using the spare tire hookup (storing the tire elsewhere) for a rear rack is feasible?

@DblOSmith I am picking up the trailer on March 24th from about 450 kms away. I'll share pictures and updates. I been talking to some specialist about towing and figured that it's better to use regular hitch receiver with anti sway bar instead of weight distribution hitch which is not recommended
@health101DOTorg
@health101DOTorg Жыл бұрын
@@jaygrewal1421 I'm going to be towing a small TT with a Model Y LR. Why is a weight distribution hitch NOT recommended? I was told it is so that the front wheels of the Tesla can have more purchase on the road... better for handling.
@jaygrewal1421
@jaygrewal1421 Жыл бұрын
@health101DOTorg As much as I know, Tesla factory hitch is Class 2 and the vehicle is a unibody so basically you'll be putting stress on the vehicle with WDH. Also, Tesla manual says that they do not recommend WDH and class 2 hitch receiver are never meant to be used with WDH. That being said, I have tower 3200 lbs travel trailer with regular hitch and model y towed it like a champ.
@jaygrewal1421
@jaygrewal1421 Жыл бұрын
@health101DOTorg additionally, for safety, just get sway bar for regular hitch. It would do the job. Towing with Tesla has only 1 drawback which is the range. Expect the range to be 100 to 120 miles on flat lands and 70% reduction on hilly area which sucks as you would have to make multiple stops for charging. Expect to stop for atleast an hour on each charging station

Lol the sink problem is probably all that glass that wen in it… on a serious note. The birch wood console has 4 screws were you can pull out the console exposing the pluming to trouble shoot.. I honestly think you just might have a clog but you never know, maybe the drian pipes were installed incorrectly not allowing gravity to do its thing. Let us know what it was
