his greatest asset is his flow. the way he corrects timing mistakes and makes it work on the fly is amazing. after 18 years of watching this footage (the original upload had like 2 million views at the time) i notice something new every time

His feel, his groove and his sound make him the best in the world in my opinion. I don’t care about bass players who can slap really fast or play a whole piece using just overtones and harmonics. Marcus’s feel and groove are unmatchable. And to me that’s what makes a master bass player!
