Ok so honey you have a very rare body. You were made for this. You listened to your instincts, knew when it was time to strip off those shorts, instructed everyone on how you needed the bed, and poof, there was your daughter. Unreal how controlled and calm you were. You were stressed but totally and completely the one in charge. This is truly everyone's dream in home birthing. Even for the midwives, they rarely see births so calm. What a treat for everyone. And I heard grandma in the background, which brought back very fond memories for me of my 16 grandkids' births. Just beautiful!!

I don’t get why there was so much pushing interference/help.. was there a reason they seemed to be kinda rushing the pushing/birth stage? I have had 2 homebirths and about to have my 3rd (i’m 40w2d) and never seen midwives at home put a woman on her back like that.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking… this will be my first home birth and I do not want to lay on my back or stress push like that, and I keep seeing videos with that same theme. I don’t like it and I desire a different experience.

I asked to be on my back for the pushing. My midwives would’ve listened if I wanted to do it differently. But with my 2nd birth and 3rd birth I both preferred my back. Everyone is different!

Congratulations! The shock you felt was me back in December. We weren't trying but definitely not avoiding. My daughter had a choir concert in Dec. I took her to her practice and they sang "Once Upon A December" which made me super emotional and thought it was weird. The night of her concert the same thing happened so for shits and giggles I had cheap amazon tests so I took one knowing it was going to be negative. I looked at it before my timer went off and boom two lines staring back at me. This is my fourth and last baby. Ten year age gap between my daughter and this one. Wishing you a smooth, healthy pregnancy ❤ congratulations again!!
