After taking seats out can u get into the boot to connect the battery cables?

@chrispicker-fz7lf when you take the seat out there is just a small area that you can cut a hole in but dont thunk it is big enough to do that, but not every type of them you will find that so you can waist your time to be honest, however I have a video on the same Chanel with how to drill at the back to open the trunk, imade a few attempts before I got it right but you can learn from my mistake and it is behind the license plate so not a big deal, also you might already know but I am just checking if you are not aware that you have a negative and a positive terminal in your engine bay if you want to get access to the car to open it.

Thanks I have taken seats out and I’m thinking about cutting that little square out. Tried under the bonnet but battery terminals are off so it doesn’t work (broken circuit) the positive wires from the battery are visible now (behind the rear seat) if I remove some sleeving to expose the positive wire would it work if I connected power to it and an earth to press button and open boot? Thanks

Do you drill one or 2 layers?

@abdullahalfatle98 when you start drilling you will have a thin first layer then the second layer is a little thicker but it is basically one peace of metal, then you will reach it just take your time doing so, I had to make a few holes to find mines but it is behind the licen plate so it will not be visible and I also covered them.back with silicone. But look at my video to see the right hole.

How hard was it removing the coolant pipe that goes around the buldge of the heat shield please that goes into the water temperature housing?

@RBDET25 it give a little work but it is not crazy hard, if my memory surves me right I think just like how I had to pull the oil sensor from under the car because it is almost at that same spot you can also pull it from under the car but drain the coolant first because it will run in your face but putting it back you can just feel it from behind the engine with your hands, it take a little patient tho.

Hi brother how did you get the downpipe bolt off the middle section of the downpipe next to the heat shield? I got one bolt off but can't get access to the bolt closest to the front

I was trying to watch over this video to try and remember how I did it but honestly to how hard that job was and I had to do so may improvise and add a lot of extension I honestly don't remember out of my head I am sorry I was not of any help.

@RBDET25 I took the heat shield off first, but it was very challenging to get to some of the bolts.

I forget to mention one thing, after you read all data off the old one, when you connect to the new one , you will be programing to the car you first need to do a ECU erasure reset that will be located on the same part of the screen and then after you do that that's when you can write what you had take off the old one to the new one, I have never tried to write it without clearing it so I would recommend to Clair it first and then read it after you program it to make shore that it was write to the computer. Before you install it back in the car.

Sorry for my late reply, the same parts that you see me touching at the front that the timing Chanel is on, they go bad after a while. I think they are call Vanus Gare outlet.

GOD BLESS YOU MATE. I had a problem with the sunroof cos it didn’t closed on. I m live in Uk and lots of rain happening 😂 So before I take my car to the mechanic I have decided to see what KZbin offers. I find you and your “trick” helped. THANK YOU AGAIN

If you have 2010 128i convertible, without a cold pkg this the only option and it worked for me. About 10 min.

Look in the cubby hole. There is a boot-lock switch on the right. It's pretty small. That might do it . I eventually found it after pulling my hair out and having multiple specialists including a BMW dealership look at it. BMW wanted to charge me R1400 just to diagnose it.

Just an update because i was talking to someone while i was doing the programming i got a little distracted and i never notice that the key was actually program, it was when i stop the video and came out of the car and close the door i tried the key and i notice it cloes and open the car and aslo start the car so yes it was a successful job. My mistake that i made was i had the door open so when i tried the key it was not locking the car because the door was open so with that said i think it is best to cloes the door and keep windoes open to get air, it still work with the door open but you can get confused and doing it over and over when it was a success from your first try.

My mistake Total with the initial diagnostics , oil filter housing and extra 5 hours to remove the cam cover it would be a total of £3907.44

@@bmwloverforlife8091 i have also some problem with oil leaks...i have already replaced valve cover....so i will see if leaks come from oil filter housing...if i need to replace oil filter housing gasket, will i have to do flush coolant too ? Thanks

@77luisf I think I did but if you're coolant is new you can set something to catch it back and just strain it after to make shore there is no debre in it and if you don't know how to bleed the system there is a lot of videos on tube that can help or you can send me a message and I send you step by step

Hey Fam, thanks for this video. I am having similar issues. I am also in Jamaica, would love to set the link to get your opinion on my issue. Oil keep draining on the alternator and AC Compressor, the car smokes like crazy from the front. I am in Kingston, Portmore.

I am so sorry bro, I am so bust at times I hardly get to check this out, yours sounds more like your valve cover gasket tho, I am a jamaican but unfortunately I don't live in jamaica, but the valve cover is very easy to change, if you haven't don it as yet I am normally off on a Monday's you can send me a message and I video call you hand show you how to do it, I think all you need is a 10 socket set and the valve cover gasket.

@MrAboutlife If I am right, I think it should be the same because even on BMW, 90% of them, no matter the year to reprogram, the windows are normally the same.

@tapiwastansbie9129 Sorry for my late reply. Work had me going i hardly got any chance to check on these things. After i change it i couldn't get to reprogram it because halfway in the programing it always say short voltage, then i figured it was the Intergrated supply module, after i chage that i got to program the volvotrinic moto but still had codes saying that oil pressure too hig before car start also injectors short circuit so i read up a few things saying i should code in a new battry like a battry swap i tried that and still never work so then i use my protool scanner and go to drivetrain and inject the latest software for that bmw model and all is good now.
