@KSleuth2414 күн бұрын
Wow! 450 pawns is insane. Not sure how the game would run with that many pawns. If you're trying to replicate that, you probably want a mod where you can clone pawns so you can reach such a high number easily. Thats my only suggestion, I usually keep my colonies around 30-40 pawns so anything higher than that is beyond me.

Try starting off with very simple designs & something you can defend easily. I usually start with something simple & it'll naturally flow into something more complex. There's too many for me to list but to keep it short & simple. I used the "Outer Rim" mods (They're Star Wars mods). "Vanilla Expanded" mods & lots of quality of life mods such as "Rimfridge" & "OgreStack". If you've seen something of interesting in the timelapse that you can't identify, just ask & I'll let you know which mod it's from.

That was very satisfying :) By the way, how did you gather the materials for the walls? It looks like slate but I guess it's not vanilla?
@KSleuth24Ай бұрын
I used the "Mines" mod to dig up chunks then cut them into bricks. I started by using the slate chunks on the map then changed to granite when I was able to allocate the time to dig up enough chunks. You can also use deep drilling for to gather chunks which is a vanilla feature. At the end of the timelapse, all my walls are granite walls that are painted.

Absolutely will be able to run it. Your specs are only slightly less than mine & I have no issues at all. Just note that the game runs off the CPU & during the late game if there's too many colonists & animals you may experience significant frame drops. There's also plenty of mods on the Steam Workshop that aid the games performance. However if you use way too many mods, you might also run into performance issues.

I really love this, i wanted to do the same tipe of base could you give the size you used to make the honeycombs?
@KSleuth242 ай бұрын
Sure! To make the hexagon shape, for the straight lines it's 11 tiles horizontal. Then to do the diagonal parts, you go one tile outward diagonally of the horizontal walls & place 2 walls vertically & repeat that until you've done it 4 times. After the 4th time, place 1 wall instead of 2. Then repeat the same pattern going towards the other horizontal walls. I recommend trying out different dimensions to create exactly what you're looking for.
