She's really invested in the revolution idea Yeah honestly though Persephone gives you far more opportunities to break it off than any of the other love interests and it's kinda sweet (oh just wait for the you and I reprise, you'll have my favourite of the three options as well but they're all great) honestly I kinda love that you and I just ends with "let's not kiss under the portrait of my ex please" Pan I'm still just hearing Kickass Grace's yelling "BAHHHHHHH" The muse reprise is great Sidenote: I love how Persephone was standing with Medusa, Hecate and Asterion "I didn't know how lost I was until you found me" and then proceeds to just hold Grace 🥺 my heart Hecate and Medusa probably have my favourite trial defence verses but hermes and eros are great too We all wanted a kiss lol Hecate and Persephone hanging out Medusa working in the underworld and Persephone working to help break her curse 🥺 (also the fact her ending with Apollo is cleaning his house 🙄) Persephone going from "mean aunt" to as Freddie puts it "den mother" is super sweet (I also love the fact that there's another version where she joins Grace in college and that even with the other romances, excluding Pan's, she helps with their gestures) YOU AND I REPRISE! (I fully suggest checkin out the other two versions if you haven't already but that one is my personal favourite I think) Overall I loved the playthrough and it's always fun to see Persephone romance runs because her character is just so interesting to me

The throne has to be one of my favourite songs slow burn chorus woo! Yeah the fact that three of her songs so are just singing battles definitely says a lot. Blue extra scene 😂 and my other favourite one the green ending for this has my favourite line and two of my two favourite throne endings (Persephone as queen and Grace charms her into destroying the throne herself which is just sweet) Honestly a full red run is completely unhinged tackle Hermes, yell at everyone, probably side with Persephone because I'm not sure Apollo could cope, take the throne, save Freddie, (mortal queen of the dead), yell more, red trial ending kickass Grace is an absolute menace Honestly though as far as lies go I found her and Pan easiest to forgive because they at least admit it and in mine Persephone told me herself and since it is possible to revive Freddie just harder than she claimed I didn't feel quite as upset with her (also her lie lasted maybe a day at most) meanwhile Apollo KNEW who was responsible and stayed silent I'm with Persephone "there was a prophecy and I'm pretty sure athena killed her over it" would have been extremely helpful and Freddie potentially would've survived so that's the other reason I struggle to like him on replays (I do also just feel bad for Persephone my personal take is that a huge part of why she lied is because she's not used to people doing things for her and has pretty much had no one actually willing to help her for centuries so making promises made likely to get the throne back/getting some sort of closure)

Grace can't throw her very far but she could get Persephone to throw her instead I had Freddie distract Hecate and she started talking about twilight I had to pause until I stopped laughing That flirt option last time hurt my soul because I knew what was about to happen oh the dramatic irony. (Also the thing was that Persephone couldn't sneak in without Hecate sensing her) Yeah considering Persephone murdered Hades and the furies didn't come for her they're clearly not easy to break Yeah I love her and I probably would've agreed on the side quest to Hades even without the fates or Freddie just because it would be funny to say "yeah our first date was overthrowing hell" (but maybe after the trial or if necessary the revolution lol)

Aaaaand Freddie shows up with a mace and a makeshift flamethrower 😂 Medusa song! Look into me is great! And going blue is definitely not a bad thing especially the ending Not unhot I can't even 😂 Yes! Special clever Medusa ending! (And It's the best ending as well because Persephone is a sweetheart and to be fair I feel like she'd understand Medusa as well given her own history) Medusa's trapped in her role as Athena's spy and her curse (and I'm desperately hoping you don't tell Athena because ouch) Honestly Pan is shady but he was definitely too shady to be the killer 18:34 😭 they're so cute Yeah man had a guilty conscience lol Hermes is back and they befriended Freddie (honestly I'm not surprised they're ridiculously nice) Okay yeah this is looking very similar to my first run I was Clever-Charming too (honestly though Charming-Kickass is funny because it's basically "I'm sick of being nice it's time to rage!") Persephone at the apartment is great PFFT She's really set on the "revolution" backup plan and Freddie's reaction 😂 (she totally would overthrow Athena for Grace) To be fair you care is basically "awww you care about me?" and kinda intense is "wow... all that for me?" or something iirc

Freddie is adorable and probably my second favourite romance route, Persephone is obviously first by a lot and Pan is a closer third if only (haha unintentional pun) for the song (and dance of course) and I pretty much just did Apollo's for the achievement (also fun fact you can get three romance songs in a run Pan, Apollo/Persephone and Freddie Awww Persephone's "just lie to me and say you'll be careful" gets me every time she cares and it's adorable (that being said I visit Persephone enough that I've gotten the "back again Grace? People will talk." dialogue as well as the dialogue that's just something to the effect of "If it isn't Grace in my doorway once again, now then unless you have something else to ask?" "That's all I can think of for now" *back to map* multiple times in the same playthrough so that probably explains how much I abuse the permanent "talk to Persephone" button 😂) I'm so glad you found the lore I have seen multiple people skip it Finally getting the answers about Hades (there's also a few lines later on in the throne obviously red first choice and the "what's your problem with Persephone?" Choice paired with the green ending almost made me cry when I got it in my first run and both parts still frequently get stuck in my head to this day) and yeah she badass but also extremely high on the "characters that really need a hug" list Okay so the about Calliope part is super interesting personally I love the "I'm a sucker for a well timed compliment line" because Grace calling her incredible is literally the trigger for you and I and then the "together we would bring revolution to the idols" with the "we could win a revolution you and I" line in said song Oh yeah this is probably half the reason why I couldn't enjoy the Apollo route on a replay and his side honestly just makes things even worse because he basically says "I'll never forget Persephone's eyes as Hades dragged her away" and that his reasoning for not helping was essentially not wanting to start a war (and yeah that wouldn't be great but they've started wars over less important things than helping your sister who was just kidnapped) But yeah Persephone basically went from having her family to Demeter (and potentially Hecate because Persephone mentioned they were friends when she was in the underworld and if I remember correctly Apollo mentions that Zeus expressly forbid Artemis from intervening when Hades kidnapped her so maybe she had Artemis as well at some point) being her whole support system then Demeter dies in the war (Artemis disappears at some point too) and she's pretty much just left entirely alone (I really need to do the lore section again because I swear she had a line about "the girl with the long hair and the garden died with Demeter" or something like that hidden in there and I need to find it again my best guess is it might be under the "I'm sorry" response) I also love how this implies Persephone was present for and/or participated in Ares' death in which case she'd have the highest actually killed an idol count Oooh going to see Medusa next I am super excited to see it

The D&D references definitely had me thinking about which classes the characters would play (I do have a list that I will refrain from sharing the entirety of for the sake of time Freddie would be lore bard (because she canonically plays a bard), Clever Grace has whispers/spirits bard or rogue vibes, Charming Grace has eloquence or glamour bard vibes or maybe archfey warlock, kickass Grace is 100% a Barbarian player, Persephone is a spores druid, Pan is fey wanderer ranger, I feel like Apollo and Calliope would play swords/valour bards and Apollo maybe multiclassed fighter or paladin, Hecate would probably go divination wizard (portent be like "Grace succeeds this roll, it is written") or maybe int based tome warlock with the fates as a patron that or she's the DM, Asterion is probably a Barbarian too if I'm honest) Yeah they do get together in the red and green ending because she just needs a little encouragement from the music and again she is actually very pleased with that outcome as well

Aphrodite does seem happy when you choose red but she does need some encouragement to make the choice to continue (and honestly I love the red-red ending for the blue chorus and it's actually on the pantheon album too so that's fun) "An idol killing an idol? That hasn't happened in a while..." my assumption is that he's referring to Persephone murdering Hades but it also could be the group of them that killed Ares (which also involved Persephone if I'm remembering my lore correctly) Oh Apollo's worried Persephone's told Grace what he did and didn't do with regards to her already and that's a guilty look if ever I've seen one (I started writing this last episode but given more of the information will probably be revealed in this episode I figured it would be better to wait) I honestly love the Aphrodite-Persephone parallels they both have trauma around being trapped and their responses to that Persephone put up walls and isolated herself because it's not like most of the other idols cared about her anyway while Aphrodite chose to forget while the other idols are there to support her and the fact that Aphrodite's husband she didn't like sacrificed himself for her but Persephone's was the person who held her captive in the first place and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason they don't get along is Persephone having a level of envy over the fact that the other idols actually cared about Aphrodite's suffering at least to an extent but with Persephone they just ignored her and left her to deal with it by herself and then punished her further when she snapped and as we learn after the war and Demeter's death Persephone was left with literally no support system until Calliope showed up about ten years before the game takes place (also the way they pick successors Aphrodite picking the biggest sweethearts and Persephone potentially choosing to seek out people who are in situations similar to her own) Also can we talk about the fact that (assuming the game takes place in the 2020s) Persephone probably went 60 years without a hug... (no seriously she got the eidolon in 1952 and was a mobster for a while and then didn't really have any close relationships that we know of until Calliope shows up in the 2010s and they become closer at some point) and yes I fully understand the name change. The moment you and I triggered I was like "oh just wait for THAT scene" but also to be fair kissing her right under the Calliope portrait would be a little odd...

Honestly though the fact Freddie brings up "turned into a tree" (and iirc mentions Daphne if you ask about it) and then questions why you didn't go with Apollo it's definitely funny How Calliope got permission was probably either Athena being like "Ok fine just stop asking" or it's on a technicality since the apartment is technically owned by Persephone The pan flirt you missed did actually have him say "I find consent wildly attractive" Okay so our family roles with the idols are Persephone: "The really mean aunt no one wants to invite" Pan: "The drunk uncle everyone has to apologize for"

Apollo's bloody beach hut and honestly his interactions with Oracle are probably my favourite part of his character (I love her calling him Paul and just bullying him for not doing laundry and his incompetence with technology I just love her Ah yes the moment you realise the heart is flirt and Grace and Freddie are just oblivious as hell (also my favourite romance is 100% Persephone because babygirl desperately needs a hug) Persephone's nightclub (okay I'm fully prepared for this section to turn into me rambling about her because I love her so much and as someone who knows I find the "what happened with Hades?" question hilarious) she created the club to be a safe space for idols even though they refused to do the same for her 🥺 (also flirting with everyone is totally valid and Pan saying he's not big is hilarious because he's literally the shortest romance option at 5'7 lol) Hermes is just adorable and the fact they're just terrified of Persephone is both hilarious and sad "no one want to talk to her" "the mean aunt no one wants to invite." is just ouch but honestly she has every right to not like the other idols and like apollo is so mean about and to her he act likes she's holding a grudge over someone stealing a sandwich or something but no you left her to rot in the underworld with Hades and then punished her for getting herself out of the situation because you sure as hell weren't helping she has every right to be furious and I would definitely hold a millennia long grudge if my "family" did that to me (plus the other thing Apollo did to her) and I can almost guarantee no one ever apologised to her (and the fact Apollo didn't is literally canon if you play his route because she talks about how their relationship improved because he gave her a "heartfelt apology" and he basically said he should have done it years ago so there's that too) so again she had every right (and yes romancing Persephone is perfectly valid lol she's incredible) UGHHH Challenging a Queen my beloved! and you got the butterfly line too 🥰 (I will say blue with blue/green then red ending is incredible for the butterfly callback but I personally can't do green then red because green in the second last choice is just watch me break those walls down and I don't have the heart to be mean after the "your youth wasn't stolen like it was from me" and "I was alone when you know who kidnapped and crushed all my dreams till a muse... I just want Calliope back..." lines which absolutely solidifies my position that all green and then red at the end is the meanest possible version of this song because it's just painful "I just want Calliope back..." followed by Grace going "Does the sound of a pin drop ring any bells? Is this what you do because this is hell?" It's definitely an amusing tone shift but it's also just mean "haha I made you open up and then I'll start insulting you lol" it's just emotional whiplash and blue green as the last two choices have the special endings but she appreciates the fight regardless of how you end it, also green then red at the start is honestly hilarious) I do love the different between the Apollo and Persephone songs and attitudes towards Grace Apollo's all "oh you don't want my help" and you have to coax (or manipulate if you go blue) him into helping but Persephone is like "I don't trust you, if you want my help you'll have to prove yourself" and then she immediately gives you more information than Apollo did and basically says she'd been trying to solve it for a while so staying with her is 100% the clever choice (which is why I'm upset that the blue album chose Apollo because Persephone is objectively the smarter decision but I guess he had to be picked in either that one or the pantheon album so his trial verse would exist) also again with Apollo being mean to Persephone she's like "he's not a lier" and he fires back with "but she's a murderer lol" man no that's so uncalled for I fully stand by the fact that old wounds is the best Apollo heavy song Oh yeah the swooning over Persephone is relatable and I'm a sucker for the dry humour as well and I'd take a little mean but already actively trying to solve the murder over sad and needs coaxing any day (also the obvious tall badass woman thing)

Freddie just casually confirming Grace being bi/pan with the "did they bring flowers" line (if it wasn't obvious enough from the table sitting and giant pride flag on the wall lol) A little off topic but I did a kickass run recently so when Grace says "I'll bite" I'm imagining the 5'3 gremlin that is kickass Grace being like "I'll bite you, just watch me!" When I see that elegant painting half my brain is like "what if it's supposed to be a representation of Persephone?" because a) the colours, the plant and the bone structure all match Persephone pretty well and b) it would be funny since Persephone has a portrait of Calliope in her office too Ah yes Apollo being a wet blanket as always (okay I need to not rant too much about how much he annoys me lol and honestly I'm most annoyed that the red version of his song doesn't have more energy from Grace it's the aggressive option but full blue feels more intese and ironically blue with red and red with blue is the most red feeling imo please let red Grace bully him a little more lol because honestly green challenging a queen is more intense from Grace than red phantom pains and I can't get over that so I pretty much go for mostly blue in phantom pains every time because it feels the most accurate to the trait while not just being green so even in my almost full red playthroughs I tend to mix some blue in that song because I think it's more intense that way)

"I have a suspicion this game is going to be really gay" oh just wait until Persephone shows up lol my Vexahra loving heart died immediately died. Honestly yeah Calliope's style is super fun and yes clever Grace is great Hermes: Don't touch Anything. Grace: Okay fine. *proceeds to sit on Athena's desk* Pffft yeah Persephone my beloved, the queen of my heart Honestly though Persephone has every right to be jaded and I adore her she's got full queen of the dead vibes and I'm here for it. Yeah enby Hermes! I love Grace's journal too surfer Apollo, sad movie star Aphrodite, Karen Athena and scary (and hot) Persephone

Not me just checking to see if I'll get invested in this playthrough because I really don't want to sit through too much Apollo lol
