Drove through here in 1993, and stayed in town. The trains stop here as there is a great restaurant near the station. Excellent food and prepped quickly, all drivers go in there to eat.

The VIA RDC-4 #6250, RDC-1 #6205 and RDC-2 #6219. A second RDC-2 #6217 is absent. These are the only operational RDC's left, (used primarily on the Sudbury-White River route) RDC-1 #6205 (in the middle) was actually built in Canada by Canadian Car & Foundry.

Correction for your typo error... the RDC-1 is numbered 6105, not 6205 which is an RDC-2 stored at VIA's TMC yard in Toronto.

@@northlanderdude Yep, a typo. Thanks. As of April, 2024 The Sudbury RDC fleet is composed of RDC2s Nos. 6217 and 6219, RDC1 No. 6105, and RDC4 No. 6250. .... but their service days are unfortunately, also numbered.

@@northlanderdude I use to see them run Montréal/Hull, Québec back in the 70s but that service was pulled long ago. I would love to ride the Sudbury/White River train. It's never too late I guess. I'll have to add it to my bucket list. Gotta love those Budds.

The historical significance of White River, particularly as outlined by Cornelius Van Horne, then chief-engineer for the construction of the CPR, should be a source of amazement and wonder for the generally unaware Canadian populace. 2024/09/29. Ontario, Canada.
