There sometimes isn’t enough room to work the housing past the heat shield with the thermostat in place. It all depends on how loaded the engine was when you set your brake. If you have it on the ground you can try to push the van back or forward and set the parking brake to pitch the engine up or down.

@@ChrisHplusland Apart from an hour or so simming, I haven't flown a real heli in around 8 months. Till last week when I met up with a new M2 pilot who thrust a Blade 150 at me while sleep and food deprived between day and nights shifts. It survived but it's definitely time to dust off the cobwebs.

Just wondering if this might be a good match for the Eachine Aurora 90? With 1104 4000kv motors it does even come off the ground on 2s. Should be about 100grams including a 450mah 2s batt. Just looking for some feedback don't want to make the same mistake. Looking for best flight times it's mostly for indoor flying. Thanks
@ChrisHplusland7 жыл бұрын
I don't have any 2S packs to test fly it but I've read these motors work fine with them.

Have you tried shorting the boot pads and plugging in, should start in DFU mode that way, then reflash, or try the Zadig program that saves the bother of shorting the bootpads. I had this clicking noise, no connect to BF issue, from saving while armed or messing up my min command.
@ChrisHplusland7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Toffee! I will try that and report back later today. :-)

Thanks for the reply I got the DYS 7000KV and 1935 props, I only got 6A escs and was a bit worried about it the ESC choice in hindsight. I may limit the max on them with blheli and firmware range to be safe.
@ChrisHplusland8 жыл бұрын
I tried some cheap dys esc's first and they couldn't handle the high kv's. Erratic performance, hot motors. Switched to the LB 20 A pro optos and they work great.

lol, u r funny In spite of several attempts, I can't fly the tarot fpv very well at all. I'm starting to think that having the props in the picture, like the TW, is helping my brain calculate distances to objects and pitch/roll.
@MicroRCFiend8 жыл бұрын
Chris H. I'd be surprised if that's all it was but it does give you a horizontal to compare with the horizon and there is a certain whiskers/aiming effect when finding gaps. I certainly don't have any better suggestions if you find them very different if in self level and just coasting about outside with a little space. I'd be very tempted to stick the whoop cam on there for a flight and make sure you have props in view and see.
@ChrisHplusland8 жыл бұрын
FX798T is soldered onto the whoop fc or it would be an easy test. I was thinking of mounting a HS1190 on top in the center and moving the lipo underneath. Or just building a Doinker with some of the TL130H parts.
@MicroRCFiend8 жыл бұрын
Or even tape some spare props so they are in view for a single flight, that should show you if it makes a difference.

Glad it was reachable. Try some low down flying below the tree line, even in the shadowed areas, you'll find the camera is actually very good unless you give it full sunlight. I do think a slightly less wide came with good light bright sun handling would be worth it though. Just trying that biteye cam/dvr out but it looks like it's dead or i'm a dumb ass but just no power.
@ChrisHplusland8 жыл бұрын
I think I figured out the problem, forgot to check fpv cam angle before flying. The cam was almost pointing straight out. So when I was flying forward, I thought I was flying towards the ground and would let off type of thing. Sound about right? Do any of the OSD modules show pitch and roll?
@MicroRCFiend8 жыл бұрын
Chris H. With a super wide cam like this it can be tough to judge but with a super wide cam like this you can have it 45 and still hover and see the horizon. I'd stick it around 20 and see but even level cam is flyable at pace too. Yeah OSD put crap on your screen lol. I'm the least educated about OSD but minimosd seem popular and is on a couple things I have flown. I prefer just flight battery voltage and flight time tucked away. There is a super tiny 5 quid one on banggood if I remember rightly and currykitten had some videos.

MicroRCFiend The quad spent like ten minutes with no antenna while I looked for it in the field after the next crash. Hope the vtx isn't blown cuz I can't find a replacement for it anywhere. Haven't checked the oem site yet tho.

Groovy eh. Did you order any of the rotorgeeks Hq 3x2 jobbies yet? Temporal Flux kindly posted me a set to try, they look super chunky and flexible rather than brittle. If they fly decent I can see me putting in a large order. They need longer bolts though, extra 2mm I think.

I fucking love it! How much does it weigh? How to integrate into a scisky board if it doesn't have buzzer support or an external RX? Could you make it so if it didn't see any motor noise for 1 minute (crashed in the bushes), the beeper goes off automatically? Then it could be wired in to the main power points and usable on any FC. Dude, i'm so excited! If you build it they will come!
@ChrisHplusland8 жыл бұрын
I'll give it some thought, should be possible.
