Hope you will appreciate a little Canadian addition to your story. The Coronation was filmed as well. The film was quickly developed and then taken in an almighty hurry across the Atlantic Ocean using an RCAF aircraft so it could be broadcast by the CBC in Canada.

Thank you good sirs for this wonderful documentary. Its touching to see someone take this whole effort to reproduce the set and keep alive the memory of Philipps and Bride, and of the many others who struggled to save people in the face of imminent death.

@@crhnewsradiocity8526 Would it be possible for me to say more.....depends on what you want to hear and don't challenge me ;-). I loved the video and the way Doug spoke about his old profession or should I say: passion. For me too, it was by far out the nicest job I ever had and for that reason I became a hamradio operator (radio amateur) a couple of years ago so I can still send messages in the old morsecode. In 2016 an old classmate and I made a trip on museum tug 'Elbe' and we worked on the 20 meter HF- band with hamradiocallsign: PI4DWN/MM. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZC5i42Ae8mhgdU . BW from this side

@@crhnewsradiocity8526 I am pretty sure that I did say some more here, but I cannot find it back, don't know what went wrong. Aniway, my compliments to the way Doug explains the ins and outs of the nicest profession I have ever practised. Please pass my compliments to Doug if you will.

My dad worked at Marconis which was taken over by the Arms manufacturer BAE. Perhaps this is why people never heard of it after that? Nothing but secrecy since!

What arrogance can bring about! Just as people thought they had built a ship that could not be sunk, so Americans believe America can do no wrong. But the Good Lord raised his hand...---KiraSeer
