I have lived in LA for over 50 years and yet never knew about this hilly place to hike! The place is only about half an hour from my home in the San Gabriel Valley! Thank you for introducing this place to me! Wonderful find!

You can take the J headed toward Crescent St and get off at Marcy Avenue. From there you'll still have to walk about 14 minutes towards the water/along the Williamsburg Bridge

I don't have kids myself, so that will be something for you to determine your level of comfort, but in my recollection, it is easy to fall and sturdy.

5 minutes in, and the landscape is gorgeous. More significant to me is that it seems that local residents love this location to enjoy with family, significant others and friends. This is not a tourist trap; this is the real deal. So good. And of course, BOATS! 😊
