I know how frustrating it can be. I had it happen to me on 2 different printers. Now any time I use an EBB or a Beacon in a build, I start with a Pi 5.
@SilverbackDesign-yd4dd28 күн бұрын
Do you think that has helped? I currently have a 4B on a 1TB ssd vs the SD Card. It has fewer TTC errors than the M8P/CB2, but still has them. I'm converting one of my printers to use components that are all faster processors (most common is the STM32G0B1 at 64MHz). I have a notion that faster processors on the peripherals will help... maybe... hopefully. Interesting about the Pi5 though. As I understand it that's not officially recommended by the Klipper gang for some reason. But, I have been thinking of getting a couple.
@iagmr27 күн бұрын
Assuming you don't have a wire interference issue somewhere I feel a Pi5 will help. I know when running any multi MCU setup with Beacon or Canbus USB timing is VERY critical. Microcenter has the Pi 5 on sale right now for $45 if there's one near you.

Believe me, I have been through everything. Any supposed fix, I have tried. I have literally re-wired the printers, changed all the boards, set processor affinity, etc. There's not one fix I have not tried. And, just to add logs to the fire, my printer will TTC simply during heatsoak, which hasn't even turned on the steppers. All I have to do is tell it to heat up the bed and it will TTC after about ten minutes.

@@SilverbackDesign-yd4dd Apparently you missed something, it works to others, and it worked to you too. Bake back in time and follow the changes. You checked power supply and some "variable_idle_timeout " ?
@SilverbackDesign-yd4dd28 күн бұрын
I have not missed anything. I replaced the power supply with one that has double the capability on my Trident, and it made no difference. variable_idle_timeout is set to something like two days. It wasn't a idle issue, it was a TTC error. Klipper didn't idle (shut off fans, heaters, etc.) it errored out, gave a TTC warning, and turned all the fans on full speed, which is the error behavior. You're going to have to trust that this isn't a me problem. Thanks for watching.

I haven't used Superslicer for a while, and you'd have to slice a file with the cooling tube length at something like 0.01 and see if it puts the extra extruder move in it or not. Also, you'll need to check the gcode output of a file with cooling tube set to zero for 'G1 F0'.

@SilverbackDesign-yd4dd2 ай бұрын
I have a Xol and Rapido2 UHF on both of my machines right now. They use the EBB36 can board. I also use sensorless homing so I can have both toolhead switches working. I don't currently use a toolhead cutter and use the EREC cutter since the Xol cutter options don't fit my use case. I did, for some time, use the G2E-Filametrix, which I smashed together from the G2E and the Filametrix. (Hence the name 🤣) It was a great combo and worked exceptionally.
@crazyfrigginmonkey28 күн бұрын
Little late, but if you're using gpio21 on the probe port. You'll need a resistor soldered on or need to use another port. You can't do a software pullup on that pin. In my setup I was using tap on the other pin in the probe port and hoped to use it, but instead used gpio6 in the ind/fan port nearby. If you go that route you'll need a jumper in the ind orientation and a jumper on npm.

I listened carefully to your explanations for the construction of my ERCF v2. You said that this would be your last video on the ERCF, but I encourage you to continue since you are a reference on the Happy-Hare Wiki. You could make a video that would quickly go over the construction of the ERCF and pause on elements that require reflection and user choices, such as the choice of LEDs (I had a hard time with the configuration of my Fystec LEDs - they were supposed to make my life easier before I realized that these LEDs are not RGB but GRB and that the order of the LEDs was all upside down in the config). The installation or not of Filametrix which requires the replacement of almost the entire Stealthburner. Installing 1 or 2 sensors, with 5.5 or 7mm balls, with the old or new modified motor-plate leg (I had to reprint these parts 4 or 5 times since no explanation is included for the sensors, balls, etc.). There is also the best position for the ERCF filament feed with the pros and cons, the supports to put the ERCF on the printer, etc. I am reprinting all my Coupler_Blocks in transparent PETG since I realized that the LEDs illuminate these parts and make them bright (it is not said anywhere!), this same Coupler_Block feeds the ERCF from below (where is this detail written!?) while I will feed the ERCF from the back, so I need the Coupler_Block at 180 degrees, but the file is in the options and it asks for supports, so I redid this one in Fusion. In short, I would have liked to have been better guided with little tips and possible choices. Hoping everything will be useful!
@SilverbackDesign-yd4dd2 ай бұрын
I am planning a video about setting up the LEDs. Unfortunately the color order is up to the manufacturers, and they are horrible about letting people know what to use. At this point, the time involved in making a video is about a 120:1 ratio versus the video length. This one was half an hour long and took about 60 hours of work. Addressing all your thoughts would take me until Bladerunner 2049 looks like a historic documentary! 🤣 But, I'll try. They are all good ideas, I just wish I had the time to devote to making more videos!

Hey, on the issue of homing and the endstop offset error, the fix is running just MMU_CALIBRATE_SELECTOR in gate 0 with filament alignment. This sets where the endstop is relative to gate 0, the assumes where the rest of the gates are based on block size, so error there will translate to every gate. This worked fine for my mondo ERCFv2, which has 19 gates, with gate 18 being just fine to load without issues despite not calibrating it's selector location.

@SilverbackDesign-yd4dd3 ай бұрын
It could be slipping. But, I would give it a test print on one of those gates and see how it does. Keep an eye on the runout detection distance which shows up on the "carrot" button of Klipperscreen, if you have it. Also look at the print and see if it under or over extrudes. That will tell you if the calibration is correct or needs attention. Also, and most importantly, thanks for watching!
