One thought for the Segatari/Pokem@n game would be to use it like Niantic has been found doing... setting up gyms/legendaries/events around places of interest and getting photo/video of areas. Could be used to gather layout/blueprint/node overload/espionage/access to areas of interest...

2020 had fun car chase system, so I was bummed down, when Red didn't had it. I tried to replicate it for my new campaign, as I made quest revolving around car race event, but it went badly.

What a joy it was to run CEMK themed content at Gencon, loved seeing you out there!

So I guess my problems with this DLC are twofold. One, it assumes that the fun part of an investigation is collecting information. Two, it moves the crux of the investigation from a test of player skill to a test of character skill. For me, the fun of an investigation is figuring out the mystery - gathering information is a means to that end. So this DLC kind of flatly fails for me on that end. I want to solve the mystery with information from the world, not because we reduced its Complexity while managing our Focus points. Investigations should not really be a resource management game (unless you're talking about time management, but everything in the world is affected by time management). Investigations are not really a place where I want to deal with tracking resources; it's meant to be a different kind of challenge. Secondly, by moving the investigation from a player test to a character test, it adds new issues to the game. A PC who's read this chart is going to want to maximize their "damage" to the mystery. So certain checks will be prioritized, even if they don't make sense. Or, even worse, the players aren't making any choices at all as the GM has to assign a skill to a clue. I think Emmerron's point about this being an accessibility aid is well-taken; it's an investigation system for players who really don't like mysteries. And if your players don't like mysteries...why are you making them solve mysteries?
