The same could be said of Stallone, Arnie, Kurt Russell, etc from the 80s and 90s but being one trick ponies that didn't stop them from making entertaining popcorn action movies. That's true of The Rock also. Though, I do think his earlier stuff is better. The Rundown is an excellent action comedy which is a difficult genre to get right (the first Beverly Hills Cop is another great example).

Good writing, original Bad writing, sequel.

You lost me in the first couple of minutes. "Some people wanted to see something as good as the first one." Well.. yeah, obviously. That's what you get when you make a part two. The sets looked great by the way, but it didn't even look better then the movie from the year 2000. So no objective improvement in 24 years. And those cg animals looked terrible. By the way, just a tip. Watch your own video and look at what you're doing with your hands.
@mikedeestro12 күн бұрын
it's very rare for a sequel to be better than the first one. so i normally hope for an extension of the story rather than for it to 'top' it. and yes i'm aware I talk with my hands. Also I don't have a crazy expensive set up so that is also me trying to keep my webcam on that shuts down if my screen goes dark. will try to find an alternative so appreciate the note!

It’s not technically a prequel because it’s not canon to the original story. It’s basically a fan fiction retelling of Wizard of Oz - with a new story in the world of the book. That said it’s technically a prequel in the sense of how the story is told. So I get what he’s trying to say. Yes the retelling takes place before the events of Wizard of Oz.

Love venom (the character) not a big fan of the movie direction. Its corny comedy and venom just doesn’t work without spider-man. He doesn’t have the darkness of venom or the “threat” that he poses. Just lame.
@mikedeestroАй бұрын
Yeah! I was disappointed with part 1. But managed me expectations for Part 2. It was fun for the most part although a waste of Carnage. Not sure why they decided to make these so 'comedic' and now I fear we're done with ever getting a darker Venom iteration.

Robert said there's nothing that isn't in the movie that they didn't shoot and I'm afraid that's just not true. There's SO much footage of Freddy that got cut out of the final version of the movie. A bunch of these outtakes can be found on the Elite laserdisc release from 1994 (and haven't been seen since then). A lot of those outtakes can be found on the Infinifilm DVD release. But he absolutely shot a lot of material that just isn't in the movie. And I'm not talking about extended stuff of scenes already there (like, say, him cackling "Look! All better for me... but not for you!" after cutting his fingers off and them immediately growing back), but like things that I still have no idea where they went in the movie.

My (as of today) 11 year old autistic son absolutely loves all of the Despicable Me and Minions movies. We saw #4 last week and loved it as well. Seeing his enjoyment makes it even better for me. He gives it a 5 out of 5 Mega Minions. I hope they continue making these movies for a long time. The parodies and overall comedy will keep them going. Thanks for the review, Mike!
