Patella tendon? Generally the top range is better to start with. If you’re going to do bottom range then start with assisted slow.

Slow the tempo down squeeze at the top for 1 sec and lower in 3 sec

Tempo variation is good although there isn't much tension at the top in mid range so a pause wouldn't do a lot.
