Patella tendon? Generally the top range is better to start with. If you’re going to do bottom range then start with assisted slow.

Tempo variation is good although there isn't much tension at the top in mid range so a pause wouldn't do a lot.

Different. Builds the short range as the tension increases as the range gets shorter. Better mind muscle connection but less anabolic
