Glorifying complicated women needs to end. Rachel definitely should not have played mind games. She asked for a break. Ross should have told her what I tell people who ask that. OK then we are done. Have a nice life. Simple. No such thing as a break. Or some time apart. We end the relationship shall we cross path again. Then so be it. But no one is keeping anyone on hold like a pair of shoes. Two things can be true: 1) Ross didn’t cheat; 2) Rachel feeling hurt and betrayed is completely valid. Honestly, Ross should have just given her space. Where they both errrored was down the line after the breakup. They both got caught up in the technically game and hurling accusations at each other without meaningfully acknowledging the reasonable, if not unfortunate, miscommunication that was involved.

“You sure had a hell of a time at the wake.” That line alone needs to be acknowledged more. It’s not really about whether it was cheating or not. Regardless, rather than try to fight for their relationship, Ross immediately gave up and let someone else into his bed. Rachel had every right to be hurt by that.

I completely support Rachel here. Ross was so insecure about mark he didn't even trust Rachel who loved him soo deeply and dearly. He should have trusted Rachel also for the first time Rachel was doing actual job that she loved. He should have given her time to figure things out. On top of that he was the who given up on relationship so quickly then Rachel exactly why he slept with that Xerox girl and always used excuse of being on break. They were not on a break. They were broken up. That was the context of her conversation. She said “take a break from us” to soften what she was saying. She wanted out of the relationship for a couple months to pursue her career and possibly leverage her single status to progress her career and maybe find somebody more compatible and if not go back to Ross. Then she changed her mind. That’s why when they get back together she asks to be his girlfriend again meaning they were broken up. Besides even if they were on a break you inviting a dude over to your place on the night of your anniversary would notify the other person that the relationship was done. Besides this whole plot line was just a way to break them up and have it murky enough to keep the relationship alive while still putting more of the blame on Ross. Let’s be real, Ross ain’t sleeping with a chick the day after a breakup. His first sexual encounter was with carol. Dude was almost a virgin and somehow a girl that Joey wanted happens to come on to him the day he breaks up with his gf. Don’t blame her for wanting the break up, my man was being unbearable but then again I think this was exaggerated little beyond credulity by writers to justify the break up.

This scene is heartbreaking. I mean, of course what Ross did was wrong on so many levels. And there should be NO ‘Buts’ about it. BUT they loved each, so profoundly that it’s evident even in the scene of them breaking up.

I will say this till the day I die it was neither of them‘s fault. I mean I blame Ross Moore because they were on a break, but Ross got mad when Rachel went on a date three weeks after they broke up, but Ross slept with someone after three hours after he thought they broke up,

1. ask for a break; 2. the person on a break act accordingly; 3. get mad at him cause you really just wanted an exuse to breakup from the start. Remember young guys and girls: a "break" is just another way of saying "i don't have the balls to breakup" (knowingly or not, it doesn't really matter at the end).

It's not an excuse but I really hate how Ross didn't mention the fact that when he called Rachel shortly after the break up he heard Mark was there. That would have been enough to push any woman over the edge. Imagine you're jealous of your boyfriend relationship with his co-worker and then as soon as you take a break, you hear the co-worker is in your house. He should have mentioned that part.

Rachel didn’t ask for a break because she stopped loving Ross, he was suffocating her, jealous and controlling. She needed some space and to think that he was okay enough to sleep with another woman within hours would have been devastating to her. I fully understand why Rachel couldn’t forgive him.

Thinking too much about around background people and afraid to loose someone who really love leads to jealousy each other and relationship getting crazy after it . Sorry for Rache and Ross they don’t know how to manage relationship talking everything each other is best way keep your relationship healthy.
